I got nominated for Best Coloring in the Eisner Awards for my work in Helen of Wyndhorn and Batman and Robin: Year One! That’s a first for me, so I’m really stoked about it!
If you knew how strong @BilquisEvely really is, you’d have a whole new appreciation for her work. Like, she had a migraine through the layouts of issue #6 that lasted 10 days. 10 days in terrible pain and she managed to make one of the best issues of the mini series.
2021 was the best year of my career. I’m super thankful to all of my colleagues who made it possible. Waking Hours, Ka-Zar, Supergirl. Such wonderful teams of writers, artists and editors. It doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you so much, folks.
That's super cool!

ALT Image of Diana Prince as Wonder Woman. She's floating, holding her lasso in both hands, with her red cape flowing behind her. The background is decorated with Art Nouevau-esque decors and pink flowers.

ALT Image of Diana Prince as Wonder Woman. Her arms are stretched out to both sides as she holds her lasso. Her hair flows behind her and her cape is billowing. The background has a yellow color scheme and has various images of her fighting, doing a speech, speaking to citizens, and children dressing up as Wonder Woman with decorative stars.

A Bilquis mudou parte do processo dela, né? Tem coisa de uma semana. O DESENHO DELA MELHOROU. Tá inacreditável, deu um salto DO NADA. Esperem desenhos mais maravilhosos daqui pra frente, fds. To empolgado.
It is true. And the same goes with full colors movies. But that's the beauty of it: even though colors aren't -literally- necessary in comics, they can be so remarkable that you couldn't possibly think about certain books without remembering its colors.
And there lays the true power of colors. They can add so, so much to the story. So much emotion, so much beauty, so much depth. To a point, ideally, that it would be hard to imagine that very same book without its colors: it just wouldn't be the same.
