And huge thank you to my friends at @amarancreators for supporting this event ❤️
They're cheering on creators who fundraise with some lovely gear at different milestones, so every bit of effort for kids in need gets a little thank-you back ✨
DM me if you want to join! ☺️

From around Oct 1-9, I'd love to bring together a community of creators.
The idea: pick 1 day to stream for the cause, share a little of your own learning story, and raid into other creators taking part to support each other and the kids.📚
No matter the size of your community, the idea is that we do this together. I'll be putting together a Discord group where we can all coordinate ^^

Hey #smallstreamers
I want to bring this opportunity to your attention. If you were to raise funds for this event with @SavetheChildren, not only can you make a world of difference
But you can also get yourself great stuff that can help you improve your own streams! 😁
You don't need to be diagnosed as a child but you do need to have had the symptoms throughout childhood in a way that's clear & able to be proven or backed up either via teachers, family etc.
ADHD isn't some minor inconveniences, it dominates your life wether you like it or not.

A friend of mine who 100% has ADHD has been told by her therapist that she doesn't have it, because in order to have it you have to be diagnosed as a child. Which is horseshit, but there's one for you. (And she's so classically ADHD it's actually funny.)
Inspired by Dolly Parton's work with her Imagination Library 🩷 I started reading up on kids learning and came across some heartbreaking statistics.
so I decided to put together a charity event with @SaveTheChildren called Learn Without Limits.
It's built around a simple idea: we've all had to overcome a limit to get good at what we do.
So I asked some streamer friends what they thought:
🧵👇
What was your favourite book as a child?" is such a simple question & for many of us our first books helped shape our understanding of the world.
But too many kids don't even get to have that..
Not because the drive or desire to learn isn't there, but because the books, meals & support often aren't available to them.
But we can change that! 🧵👇

My son came to me with some news.
He told me Dolly Parton had died and I said I knew.
And then he got quiet for a second and said she loved me. She used to send me a lot of books.
I had to just look at him for a moment.
He was talking about the Imagination Library. The program where Dolly sends books to children every month from birth until they start school. Millions of kids across the country get these books.
My son believed that Dolly Parton personally knew him. That she had specifically selected each book, thought about him individually, put it in an envelope, and mailed it to our house every single month because she loved him specifically.
Not as part of a program. Not as one of millions of children. But because she and my son had a personal relationship and she was devoted to his literary development specifically.
And honestly when you think about it from a child's perspective that's not even an unreasonable conclusion. Books showed up every month with her name attached. She clearly cared. Why wouldn't she know him personally.
I didn't have the heart to fully correct him in that moment.
Because also he wasn't entirely wrong. She did love him. She loved all of them. She just loved a lot of children at once and had a very efficient system for showing it.
Rest easy Dolly. My son misses you personally.

This is actually amazing. Great work Twitch. 👏😍
A note on our work to combat viewbotting, from CEO Dan Clancy:
There’s been a lot of discussion recently about viewbotting on Twitch, and I wanted to share an update on our enforcement efforts.
Viewbotting is bad for our business. We don't benefit from it, and we believe it harms the creator ecosystem overall. However, effectively combatting viewbotting is challenging. As we deploy updates to our real-time detection algorithms, viewbotting companies quickly respond with updates to avoid detection. Also, our detection systems must be precise to ensure that legitimate viewers are appropriately counted.
Today, we’re introducing a new enforcement type that we plan to roll out over the next few weeks. For channels identified as persistently viewbotting, we will apply a cap to the streamer’s CCV for a fixed period of time, on all of the Twitch surfaces. The cap will be based upon historical data regarding that creator’s non-viewbotted traffic. Repeated violations will result in longer penalties. Streamers will be notified when an enforcement is applied, along with the duration of the penalty, and can appeal through the appeals portal.
While streamers will be notified, we will not make a follow-on announcement when we begin issuing these enforcements, and will not publicly share details about when and where these enforcements are applied. Unfortunately, providing details simply makes it easier for companies to work around our interventions.
We believe this approach will help us make meaningful progress against viewbotting. We will continue refining our systems and expand when we apply these enforcements over time.
