The first release of BakBeat is now available on bakbeat.com
This is Mac only right now, Windows and Linux are in work. This brings full music library management, NetMD Minidisc support, and a small subset of validated mp3 player support. I hope you will check it out!

Build in public? Sure! Just submitted this to the App Store. I built this cause I wanted a simple tool that stitched video clips together. That’s it. Hopefully it gets through the gauntlet and you can have it too.

Made some updates to the BakBeat Labs website!
Added two new sections, Solutions and Our Work, to better reflect the software engineering, infrastructure, and problem-solving work happening beyond our music preservation projects.
BakBeat Labs started with music, but the ideas have never really stopped there.
Still building, still learning, and seeing where this all goes.

I feel like there's something missing on X for AI Dev, and maybe the algo just doesn't feed me people. But AI Game dev is huge, but the dev universe is bigger than that, and whatever you think of what Art Craft is doing the ambition is super cool. The use of AI for coding goes FAR beyond GameDev, as its been helping me build BakBeat for awhile now, and its just the Music Library app I wish I had and hope others will like too.
I really want to see people THEIR dream apps outside of just Games too.
One of the best things with AI coding is that it's really easy when working on something to get side tracked. You start with one bug hunt, then you find a few, but discover something else along the way. So you fix those, and pretty soon you forgot what you started doing in the first place. But AI doesn't forget. It reminds you "now that we fixed that, lets refocus on the core of this slice".
Finally did my site update for the app - BakBeat Rescue!

Today, on what would have been his 33rd birthday, our Nation honors the loving memory of Charlie Kirk - a father, husband, Christian martyr, & titan of the conservative movement.

Updated BakBeat! I made a feature I wanted, and thought you might like too. A guitar tab viewer to play along with your songs! Works with .gp Guitar Pro formatted files, and you can adjust the timing to match the song in your library

I'll be working to continually improve this feature as well
Boomers literally do not understand what Ponzi scheme is. I think this a huge part of the problem. These are the same people who fell for every multi level marketing scam
I think i figured out what I don’t like about our church. Christian Contemporary music does zero for me. Give me Sabaton’s Templars or Stryper’s The Valley. But songs that sound like 90s love songs with the lyrics changed do nothing for me
I genuinely thought until recently the hate against boomers was excessive and unwarranted. Then they showed up to prove why everyone hates them. The narcissism and greed is unreal
This idea that a lot of the Boomers seem to have about “you kids aren’t entitled to shit it’s MY money I worked for” is so weird. Like….i may not have some huge inheritance to pass when my day comes, but I would hope at least there’s something for my daughter in some investment or funds or even physical items worth something. Why would I not want my child to benefit from what I’ve done? Isn’t that the point?
