RamTour: Locker Room Edition with Hunter Holt 🏆
#ProveIt
Unfortunately, I just received confirmation that my season has come to an end due to an ankle injury which completely tore 2 ligaments. Actively rehabbing my ankle, and will keep pushing towards my goals. Mindset is everything.
.2 IP, 2 k’s. Came in with a 3-0 count and 1 out and lost the first hitter, but bounced back strong with the next 2. Sat 88-91 mph with a 76 mph slider.
Late, but this was my first outing of the season (second week) vs #4 UTT. Came in relief in the 3rd inning, 1k, 0 R, 88-90

One of the hardest working athletes I’ve ever met/had the pleasure to work with. Jon’s dedication to the process over the last few months has been remarkable. The best is yet to come, this is only the beginning!

Congrats to @_jonshields_ ! Your story is just beginning man.
Also want to acknowledge @cwthrows
Carsie is one of the brighter minds I’ve come across in the game, and knows how to get output from his athletes. It’s been admirable to watch his growth since we met!

We need people around us who question and call us on our BS, not cheerleaders / followers who blindly trust what we say or think.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you have all the answers if nobody in your circle brings you back to reality on a consistent basis.

Athlete Update 🚨
@_jonshields_ made his first start in 3 years last night in the CPL. He went 4 scoreless sitting mid 9’s (topped out at 95) from the left side and was 92-93 from the right!
Still in the portal looking for a home. Someone needs to give this guy a chance.
Clips below ⬇️
Ambidextrous pitcher Jon shields (@_jonshields_ ) showed off two quality arsenals:
From the left side:

Very rare to see a guy throwing with the stuff that @_jonshields_ has from one side, yet alone the ability to do it from both sides with diverse arsenals in the low-mid 90s. Been fun to watch @cwthrows process with him. This guy can provide so much value to a school that gets him
