With the dust settling on Frozen Trail’s launch, figured I should finally update my bio.
Last month I joined @EmbarkStudios to lead the long-term vision for creators across the studio, @arcraidersgame, and @reachthefinals.
It’s been an awesome first month settling in among some very talented and ambitious people. Still a lot of cool stuff I want to try in the creator space, and here feels like the perfect home to do just that.

As confirmed earlier through our official channels, in mid-June of this year, we unexpectedly received notice from PlayStation Studios that they would cancel the PHYSINT project. PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.
Creators: Don’t be shocked if brands start offering lower CPM rates as these changes kick in and your views go up.
Make sure to track your new average 7-30 Day views and do the math on whether you’re still getting a fair deal.
YouTube will count views from the first frame across all formats starting on August 24, 2026.
ALT Last year, we updated how we count public views for Shorts to better capture how viewers watch on YouTube. Now, we’re aligning all other video formats to this same standard for consistency across the platform. Beginning on 8/24/2026, a view will be counted the moment a video begins to play—from the very first frame. This standard will now apply globally across all formats. Historically, we’ve used multiple view counting systems across different formats. However, we’ve heard that creators want to eliminate this metric confusion and accurately understand their true exposure, which is why we’re making this update!
