Meaning depends on context, trust, and shared norms.
Those are fragile.
They don’t scale automatically.
When you ignore that, you get noise instead of connection.
Lately it feels like we communicate constantly, but rarely slow down enough to actually understand each other.
Lately I’ve noticed that the conversations I remember aren’t the loud ones or the clever ones.
They’re the ones where everyone slows down a bit and actually listens.
That feels increasingly rare.
Access was the hard problem for a long time.
Now we have access to everything, all the time- and we’re still trying to figure out how to protect meaning, attention, and trust inside that abundance.
That feels like the real problem to solve next.
Noise scales algorithmically.
Signal scales socially.
Meaning travels through people and context, not feeds optimized for volume.
