Elections Alberta confirms some polling stations opened late, with one now being opened until 10 o'clock.
No results will be posted online until all polling stations are closed
The day has come: Albertans head to polls in historic referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada

A serious incident creating a major fire has occurred at CFB Wainwright, in Alberta.
Our thoughts are with all the brave women and men affected.
We are working closely with the Government of Alberta and local authorities. Premier Smith and I are in close contact as are our relevant ministers and officials.
And just to make sure it’s seen: Elections Alberta says as of last night just over 1 million Albertans have voted at advance polls or by mail.
Advance polls open today and tomorrow, and official voting day is Monday of course.
