Immigration is not the reason that you can’t get a hospital appointment, it’s the reason you can get one. Please repost for all the people who can’t seem to grasp that.

I could not agree with this more! I think SAFIYYAH'S WAR is the best new children's book I've read this year, and I think it deserves to be read in schools, libraries & homes around the country - by adults as well as children. Seriously brilliant writing from @HibaNoorKhan1!
There is reading a book and studying a book. The more I delve and re-read Safiyyah’s War for my in conversation with @HibaNoorKhan1 the more I am blown away by her exquisite writing and use of language. I would love more #schools to take this book up as a class reader. DM me.

Like many others, we’ve lost a lot of followers this week. If you are a UK resident who believes in a health service that is free at the point of use, please give us a follow and share this message. We cannot let the bullies win.

Things have just got a lot more difficult . Here’s what I think . I had no control over what just happened . None . But I do have control over how I will react to it . And I am not going to give up on the beautiful and the good , the grip on my dreams just got tighter .

This is the very reason that @FCBGNews exists, from our groups at grass roots level to our national initiatives - Children's Book Award, #NNFN and National Share A Story Month - why not engage with your local Children's Book Group?
⚠️Reading enjoyment has fallen across all ages.⚠️ The sharpest decline is among pupils aged 11-14 - from 40.4% in 2023 to 30.7% in 2024. As children transition to secondary school, their reading engagement dips - a trend that is worsening. Learn more: literacytrust.org.uk/researc…
