There is no good argument for legacy admissions. You had nothing to do with your parent or grandparent graduating from college. You should not have an unearned advantage over a non-legacy applicant by accident of birth.

The Asian students who brought the case against Harvard saying affirmative action for Black students was keeping them out of seats at the elite college are gonna be really shocked when they find out that this ruling won't make more space for them, there will just be more white students.

Dear Trolls, I’m not the one to intimidate w/ racist taunts. I graduated from college w/ 3 degrees in 4 years while working 2 jobs. Went on to be a Double Board Certified Anesthesiologist after medical school. Say it w/ me: Diversity & Meritocracy are not mutually exclusive.

My sister had this white girl in her college try to tell her she only got in because of affirmative action. My sister went “I was valedictorian of my school and you’re asking me for help on your homework so who really shouldn’t be here?” Girl never asked her for shit again LMFAO

You better be expanding the damn Supreme Court!
Unthinkable. This fight isn’t over. I’ll have more to announce when I address the nation this afternoon.

Justice Alito accepted tens of thousands of dollars in lavish vacation gifts from a billionaire who lobbied to cancel the student loan forgiveness. After the gifts, Alito voted to overturn. This SCOTUS’ corruption undercuts its own legitimacy by putting its rulings up for sale.

Well if nothing else the Supreme Court ruling is gonna humble some white and Asian students when they find out they still didn’t get in to their dream school and it wasn’t the fault of already underrepresented Black applicants.

I don't know what to tell you guys. We have to expand the Court. If we don't expand the Court, no liberal policy will be allowed to exist for the rest of our lives. That's why Republicans stole the court, that's why rich people pay for justices. Govern yourselves accordingly.

đź—‘ Imagine getting where you are from a benefit then taking that benefit from others because you hate yourself that much. #JusticeUncleRuckus
This two bit, self loathing, sycophantic, white supremacy apologizing, uncle ruckus, benefited from race-based preferences throughout his entire career, yet sided with conservatives to overturn affirmative action. Clarence Thomas was admitted to Holy Cross in 1968 in part because the school was actively looking for Black students. He was admitted to Harvard Law School in 1971 right after it adopted a “race conscious“ admissions policy, but chose to go to Yale at the exact moment it created its first explicit affirmative action program with a goal of 10% minority enrollment. Thomas was one of 12 Black students in the class of 175. His application was evaluated separately and he received special consideration because he was Black. When Thomas left Yale he was hired by John Danforth, the Attorney General of Missouri. Danforth admitted it was because he was seeking to have a diverse office and that Clarence Thomas was hired because he was Black. Thomas left Danforth’s office to work for Monsanto at a time when the company was looking to hire Black lawyers. He went back to work for Danforth when he was a US senator and was looking to diversify his staff. He then went to work for Reagan’s Department of Education and was offered the job in part because he was Black. He then became chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a position that six Black women turned down before he accepted it. His entire career was a result of affirmative action. This man epitomizes hypocrisy and has always been an enemy to Black progress in this nation. #SCOTUS #AffirmativeAction
