I don’t understand the ghostwriter thing bro , there are so many other professions you can be successful in but instead you’d rather pretend you’re good at rapping ? . How this make sense

getting mad at the people saying battles are scripted now instead of the person who caused the narrative is such a battle rap thing to do.

It only takes a few to ruin the public opinion. But you ain't lied. If you know you KNOW what part of a "freestyle" is off the top or filler rhymes.
Most battle rappers don’t do this tbh. I’ve never done it in all my years in this game. But … I’ll just say this…. Outside of battle rap twitter A LOT of people still think this shit is “off the dome” freestyling and think it loses value when they find out it’s written. I’ve met them lol

Anyone who understands "body language" knows it's all wack. Not a fan. But to each their own.

I never cared for the whole written battle rap thing to begin with. I’m old school come off the top and see who has the better skillz

Bboy battles are like this too sometimes. At the Olympics why the "bboys" all practicing together? (when Snoop walks in). Where is the element of surprise? That oh shit I gotta match this etc. Intensity. Integrity. Imagination. It's all predictable.

That’s why battle rap always been corny.

Whats horrible is they don't rhyme on beats ... all that shakespeare repeating and stopping your bars is WACK.

Real Heads KNOW how its done.

Say it ain’t so. I did rap battles in high school and I never rehearsed with my opponents. I just memorised my verses on my own and I planned to annihilate the opponent. Never lost a single battle.

When I learned they will like write and memorize verses then string them together on the fly I really just tuned out of that shit. I want some brains on fire finding poetry in the moment not that improv comedy bullshit!

Very important realization. Its serious skills out there. But trends dilute REAL culture.

Once I found out "freestyles" werent freestyles but everyone else was cool with it. I kinda just faded away from the scene.
