I know it’s business, but you can’t help but feel for these guys, especially Varsho who is walking down the hall from one team to the next in a matter of seconds. It’s got to have a huge mental load on players.

Louder for the people in the back! 📣
So you just brought on a PR agency?
Yay! I'm excited for you!
But now you want to know what to do next?
Great! Let's go!
1. Treat them like a part of the internal team.
Be nice to them. Keep them in the loop. Don't hide information that's relevant to your company and their work. (If there's no NDA, get one!)
2. Understand that PR is incremental.
Do not expect to be in Forbes in the morning. The first few weeks will (likely) focus on messaging and strategy. Then, they will help build up your media presence.
(Also – is Forbes actually relevant to your brand?)
3. Be responsive.
A lot of PR opps are time-sensitive. Press releases, etc., need your approval. For this to work, you need to be engaged.
4. Trust them.
You hired them for a reason. THIS is their area of expertise. They've got this!
5. If they say you need a new headshot...go get a new headshot.
6. PR ≠ advertising.
This is about credibility, visibility, and building long-term trust. It's not quick sales or flashy ad campaigns.
PR is a partnership. The more open, responsive, and trusting you are, the better the results!

We land media placements for our clients all the time. After all, it’s our bread and butter.
But this week is different.
.@AshleyStanhope and I placed two opinion pieces in two top-tier publications - each taking on a distinct and important conversation in crypto:
In @Cointelegraph: Why Canada risks falling behind in the global crypto race cointelegraph.com/news/canad…
And in @CoinDesk: A call to protect blockchain research funding in the U.S. coindesk.com/opinion/2025/06…
These op-eds create meaningful contributions to the direction of the industry. And that’s the kind of work we’re proud to do!

Crypto week continues, and Hardfork Media is at @consensus2025.
If you need PR or marketing support, let’s talk.
