Consequences of climate change in #Afghanistan:
Unusually strong flash floods
Uncommon hailstorms
Prolonged droughts
Extreme weather events
Armed conflict, institutional fragility, poverty and the climate crisis all interact which makes the country one of the most vulnerable.
At least 45 people have been killed and over 350 injured in eastern provinces of Afghanistan due to heavy rains, flash floods, and severe storms, according to Taliban authorities.

This is painful. We are witnessing a GENDER APARTHEID in #Afghanistan.
1000 days since girls’ schools have been closed. Girls’ schools must be reopened, women and all ethnic groups represented in an inclusive government, and ties with terrorist groups cut.

1000 days passed since the Taliban banned girls from going to school/university. The international community didn't take any drastic action to put pressure on the Taliban to reverse this decision beside condemning the Taliban's actions by issuing statements.
