On 30 June, @IosifItkin, CEO & Co-founder of @exactpro and CTO of @murabex, delivered a lecture at the University of Luxembourg (@uni_lu) as part of their Open AI Lecture Series. The discussion focused on how AI is being used to streamline regulatory compliance solutions in financial organisations. Financial institutions operate within an environment where legal obligations, risk controls, tech requirements and internal processes are all linked together, and regulations keep shifting across jurisdictions. Tracking changes manually is becoming increasingly difficult, so using AI in the compliance function presents a valuable automation use case. Iosif looked at how AI can ease the burden of building, testing and maintaining compliance systems when used carefully and backed by guardrails such as human oversight, explainable AI, proper model risk management, the right combination of deterministic and non-deterministic components, traceability-by-design and continuous testing.
