Hi, I’m Dunamis. I love building systems nobody asked for, so naturally, I’m building what I think is the best Python backend framework you can ask for. Currently cooking @sillodotbuild Built from years of building backend systems and being slightly obsessed with making them better. drop a follow

So true and its very exhausting. Not just management. Clients also do the sh.t You give them a quote and the next thing you hear is “this is something simple,Claude can do it in a night” 😕
Just a few years ago, management could comfortably wait out a two-week sprint to get a feature shipped. Today, there’s growing impatience when a feature takes more than 24 hours to deliver. 🥲 The pressure on software engineers right now is crazy, and I don’t think we’re talking about it enough. I can barely get two sentences into explaining my implementation plan before someone interrupts with: “Just give it to Claude to do!” “Sir, we need to think about…” “That’s what Claude is there for. Let it do the heavy lifting!” A task gets assigned, and barely 10 minutes later: “Why is it taking so long? Aren’t you using Claude properly? This should take a minute or two!” Somehow, the existence of AI has created this assumption that software engineering is now just a matter of writing a prompt and watching features magically appear. Nobody wants to hear about architecture, edge cases, testing, security, or the implications of a poorly thought-out implementation. Just ship it. And ship it NOW. AI has become both a blessing and a curse. Something I genuinely expected to reduce my workload has instead increased it. The productivity gains are real, but so are the expectations that come with them. We’ve made development faster, but somehow, we’ve also made every delivery feel slower. And that’s the irony nobody seems to be talking about. Omo mehn, I’m just exhausted, might as well just resign, but it seems it’s the same everywhere😪

I noticed most cracked engineers don’t have those fancy website with a lot of grammar and animation. Example @akinkunmi Is there a reason why it’s like that ?

Master 1 and others will become just tools I mastered fastapi and built a framework that combines fastapi speed and laravel full stack features sillo.build Check it out😎
Is mastering two backend frameworks enough for backend devs ??

Your app makes $8K a month. Google offers you a $200K/year job, but you have to give up the app. Are you taking the job?

Wake up to reality! Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. The longer you live, the more you come to understand the true nature of this world. Life is filled with disappointment, suffering, and emptiness. 😅😂
I used to assume everyone into tech is rich not untill I start.

we also got @sillodotbuild instead of Fastapi or Django
If you're a Nigerian developer, whether you're just starting out or you've been building for years, there's so much you can build and learn with homegrown technologies 🇳🇬❤️ We have: 🇳🇬 @Dbrij_hq & @pxxl_space instead of Vercel for hosting. 🇳🇬 @StackshiftCloud for VPS hosting and management, as an alternative to providers like Hostinger and tools like Coolify. 🇳🇬 @Dbrij_hq & @sendly_ai_ instead of Resend for business and transactional emails. 🇳🇬 @cencori instead of OpenRouter and Cloudflare AI Gateway for AI model access and management. 🇳🇬 Sabilytics.com instead of Google Analytics and DataFast for website analytics. 🇳🇬 @OutRayTunnel for tunnelling local services, as an alternative to tools like ngrok and Cloudflare Tunnel. 🇳🇬 @Bachs_hq for international payments, as an alternative to Stripe. And these are just the ones I can remember right now! I'm not saying you must stop using international tools. I'm saying we have people right here building alternatives worth trying, supporting, and contributing to. With better local pricing that fits us. I know I'm missing so many other products. What other Nigerian-built products and their global alternatives should be on this list? Drop them in the replies! 👇 And if you're building something in Nigeria or anywhere across Africa, please submit your project to Africa Is Building so more people can discover what you're working on ❤️ africaisbuilding.com/submit
