At 1/60 scale, the weight of the resin has a major effect on the model’s ability to stand on its own. Fully assembled, it weighs 3.2 kg, about 5–6 times heavier than a typical PG kit. I don’t like using supports, and I insist on having the model stand on its own two feet. So this was a test to see if it could maintain a stable standing pose.

The weight of the paint also cannot be ignored. I gave it a simple test paint job and left it in an environment averaging around 30°C during the summer for three months. As a result, the resin gradually deformed under the weight, causing the upper body to lean backward.

I replaced the heavily loaded joint parts with high-strength resin. I also reduced the weight of some parts and reinforced the joint design. It has remained standing well for a long period of time. With this result, the test is complete.
I've done everything I can with 3D modeling and prototyping using 3D printing. Now, all that's left is the final painting.
It feels like I've finally finished the tutorial. With all the techniques I've learned along the way, I think I'm ready to try making other kits. Faster. Better.
1. I have reviewed Bandai's official statement regarding this matter. In addition to the public announcement on their website, I also received a separate and courteous apology directly from them. I accept their apology and hope that this matter can now be considered resolved.
2. I would like to apologize for not being able to respond individually to the many comments and reactions regarding my post raising concerns about Bandai. Thank you for your understanding.
3. During the course of working my MK-II, I received many inquiries about the possible sale of the original modeling files, STL files, printed parts, and finished painted works. The word "commercialization" was simply a broad term I used in response to those inquiries, but it appears to have sparked considerable speculation. I am not at a stage where I can discuss this topic in detail, and I have nothing further to announce at this time.
4. As originally planned, I will continue to post updates on this work through X (Twitter) until its completion.
4. Over the past three years, there have been several attempts by others to copy my design and release it as a product. This is one of the reasons why the complete rear view of this project has never been shown on Twitter
1. My image was mistakenly attached to Bandai's promotional page. I hope this matter can be resolved with a simple correction.
2. I also hope that no Bandai employee will be reprimanded over this mistake.
I believe this was an unintentional mistake by Bandai. I would appreciate it if appropriate corrective action could be taken. @gundam_tamashii
