In the short term, the U.S. market is filled with end users who are forced to transact. Their urgency to fulfill specific mandates creates numerous small price fluctuations across derivatives and equities, this naturally has a ripple effect across a wide range of time horizons.
Over the long run, many market participants consistently underestimate and underprice outlier events in the derivatives market.
Put those two principles together, and I believe you end up with something both special and robust.

418 new GS formed today - quite remarkable!
Nice big update for the Databot!
Big patch for the Databot today to ensure you have actionable alpha in your hands, wherever you go!
New Features:
- New Command: `/alert id`
Lists all of the active alerts by interval (alphabetically) with their corresponding Alert ID, which can be used to search for additional information about said alert.
- New Command: `/info alert`
This command has two optional parameters, one of which needs to be filled out but not both.
: The first is the parameter which is an Alert ID. Supplying an Alert ID will bring up information about that alert.
: The second is the parameter, which when supplied, will search for any active alerts for that symbol. If one is found, summary information is given along with a button to bring up the detailed information.
- New command: `/info gammasqueeze`
This command will scan the market for gamma squeezes and list their summary information (for those <100 days long). It also has a button that will produce a .csv of all of the gamma squeeze data for that day. **Caution** : This can be a slow process the first time it is ran; give it time. If you select to get the .csv, it will be DM'd to you once it is finished compiling.
Non-vibe coders: do you restrict script length or just them grow if the domain of code remains the same?
Back in my day, the shotgun, throw-everything-and-see-what-sticks techniques were considered low-effort exercises one only did when divorced from creativity and vision.
Today it's "alpha".

Increased caution is warranted as the data are expecting both more gamma squeezes and faster gamma squeeze growth in the future than today! (Both lines above zero).
This is typical behavior before a correction - $SPY price in background (blue line) for reference

Now we know where all that bearish liquidity (and quite substantial since detected on Daily) came from!

If map the week's progress onto the heatmaps for $SPY and $QQQ - the more dynamic and complex nature of gamma hedging comes further into view -
It can be quite dangerous to assume this can be anticipated by just looking at option ratios or volume.
To continue this thought, if we look at $SPY's gamma-hedging heatmap, we can see how difficult hedging can be and why just seeing short gamma flow isn't sufficient to identify gamma squeezes.
Also, SPY's current orientation is a "Stable vanna squeeze" - its a vanna-squeeze because IV is the main determiner in if selling or purchasing occurs (moving to the left and right), and its stable because its self-limiting (i.e.: as IV+, selling pressure diminishes into gamma neutrality as opposed to selling pressure increasing, thus feeding into itself).
