"I can’t imagine how hard it must be to trust anyone given what my patients have been through." In the second of a two-part series shadowing doctors working in the most deprived communities in Scotland I joined @dnblane in his Glasgow practice. The complexity was overwhelming.

🧵A long thread on last week's report on adolescent drinking from the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study. I have many questions...🧵 TLDR: There's a good chance the trends are spurious and we should be cautious about claims English children are drinking more

No escaping the big, depressing NHS story today. But the British Social Attitudes research finds that satisfaction with #socialcare is even lower than for the NHS. There’s also new data e.g. about the amount of contact the public has with social care. A thread >>>

Some local authorities really need to publish their criteria for nursing care funding...twice in a week I've heard of people being told they don't qualify for nursing care because they present better than on admission (⬇️ falls, weight ⬆️, distress ⬇️) BECAUSE of nursing care! 🤬

Replying to @VincentAB
@VincentAB Hi. Random question about #marginaleffects. Do the package functions rely on data held in model objects? So if I was using a many models approach with big datasets…1/2

… and wanted to be efficient with memory, could I remove data in model list columns using the butcher package and still create list columns with results from marginal effects fuctions passed on the model list column? butcher.tidymodels.org/index…
