AI can write the first version. I make it something you can actually run: reviews, refactors, performance, messy legacy, the bits models still get wrong.
Senior Dev as a Service
• £60/hour: deep dives into legacy code, scaling, or AI-generated mess
• £2,500/month for 40 hours, pause anytime

In a new racing game, what brand cars would you want to drive that exist already?

I've counted up my debit and I owe £34,454 across 8 debts. £708 of my £1,352 monthly payment is interest. This year I've spent over £350,000 on a house remodel.
I'm a full time employed developer. I'm going to pay it off in public and build the tools as I go using these fabulous new AI models to help me.

Quiet day today, may have over done it yesterday on 2 Claude Max accounts, now waiting for my Monday morning reset 🤪
It's the weekend so time to turn the agents to some fun projects.
What are you getting Opus and Fable to do this weekend?
I totally agree but also maybe I'm more paranoid. Coming from an era where control wasn't issued to a single user.
Never have credentials anywhere that have that much power, split roles and responsibilities so dropping a database isn't the same user that inserts/updates/deletes rows and ensure that drop user isn't used by any "script" access.
Also log actions so you can more easily discover how things happen to improve over time 🙇
I'm David 👋 43, London, dad of 3, day job at a charity.
At night I build stuff 🧑💻
22 side projects so far and they make £10 a month between them. 🫣
So this month I've stopped building and I'm trying to actually sell them, in public, to clear about £45k of debt 🫨
If you're building after hours too, say hi and tell me what yours is 👇

Monday morning and you've got three quotes from last week still not sent?
Be honest 😅 what's the bit that slows you down most?
I'm 43, an in debt solo founder from London who also has a full time job at a charity.
Sales and marketing is not my strength, but I'm looking for ways to pay down my debt.

As I’m using agents now to plan, review and build I’ve added one to document like a biography writer so I can put all my decisions, problems and successes chapter by chapter in a book format.
Posting in public is easy, sticking to the plan and staying the course for the long run is hard.
My thinking is that by publishing chapters as they happen could be inspiring, helpful for future revisions of the playbook and a marker of how it was and how things have changed in the near future? I’m going to dable with converting sections to video as a book to clip experiment and share some juicy nuggets as posts here.
