Let's work on a thread for Dotnet beginners and enthusiasts? Let's share links/resources that has helped us in our journey? What advise do you have for anyone planning to start their Dotnet journey?
I'll update from time to time. :) – at Lagos, Nigeria

Omo, @StackshiftCloud just keeps getting better for my VPS hosting! 🔥
@_fusionTech is one smart builder!
I recently discussed my need to move away from Cloudinary to something self-hosted or managed within StackShift, and instead of just talking about it, he built an MCP integration.
Now my coding agent can monitor my deployments, identify issues, fix them and redeploy.
They're now AI-Native 🔥
Craziest part now is, it's helping me migrate my assets from Cloudinary to StackShift's asset buckets.
It created the bucket, came up with a migration plan, and lets me approve the steps or provide credentials when needed.
This is the kind of developer experience I love. Being able to manage infrastructure directly from my coding agent is a game changer.
I genuinely love builders who listen to feedback and ship solutions.
Big respect to @Jesse and the @StackshiftCloud team!❤️

Due to many complaints i had to tone down the graphics, background buildings and many more so that stable performance can be achieved
I really can’t wait for such an era
I foresee an era where Nigeria will have its own Y Combinator.
Where successful Nigerian founders and investors come together to fund, mentor and support the next generation of builders.
Where you don't have to look outside the country to find people willing to back your ideas.
We're already seeing what Nigerian builders can achieve. Imagine what happens when we build a stronger funding and support ecosystem around them.
I genuinely believe we're getting closer to that era 🇳🇬❤️
What a time to be alive 🤲

Not costly, don't put fear on anyone. Cloud Architect Expert here. My estimate puts it at about $90 - $120 per month if you wanna have 2 app servers that can act as load balancers + 1 DB server.
Put both behind Cloudflare which will handle Caching, etc.
You need an 8-core CPU with 24GB RAM each which is about $30/month on Contabo. For a 3rd server, you can host your DB (Postgres/Redis) at another $30 per month.
If you don't want to go that route, get a Ryzen dedicated VPS with 12 cores for $120/month, it will handle this seamlessly, but it isn't as 'efficient' as the architecturally optimized 3-VPS route, which guarantees redundancy.
It's not that costly. It's when you begin to have millions of concurrent users that you have a challenge with server costs.
Meanwhile, if no one wants to say it: if money was the sole reason for accepting that funding from GB and co, then it was a wrong move. They had enough runway to manage server and associated operational costs. Now, they are a bit handicapped in terms of product direction, going forward.
👏
🤣🤣 fifth time I’m seeing this
when the conversations started, even I told her not to think twice about it! That funding is going to unlock so much for builders, people are beginning to see what’s possible
so no, there was no dog eat dog situation or sidelining… Shalom and I spoke about it well beforehand and we couldn’t have been more excited to have powered Lagos Life to where it got
and honestly this is still one of the biggest wins for Bachs… The publicity, the growth and most importantly, the validation that what we set out to build is real
we’re here to help builders win, seeing Lagoslife succeed at this scale is a huge win for us too!

Meet the leadership behind Vatar, the parent company of Lagos Life sim (@LagosLifeApp)
Quite an impressive track record across software engineering, product development and business growth.
And look at the angel investors backing the company: founders of Mono, Terra Industries and Flutterwave.
There's serious experience and industry backing behind what they're building now 🔥🇳🇬🎮
I'm genuinely excited to see what this team accomplishes over the next 6 months.

As a junior lawyer and even when I led a team that provided legal services to Paystack, the amount of hours the firm committed to police station matters on a weekly basis was concerning, you won’t understand this until you’re doing police visits all across Lagos on a daily basis
