When they tell you who they are, believe them.
There's a solution to this btw. Seize their assets on the way out.

What an idiot.
An IDF sniper just shot at me and my colleague Ali while we were working in Zowtar Al Gharabieh. We were clearly marked press and standing with a member of the Lebanese army.

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore. Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me. The “joke” was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is. So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11 takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link. My caption: “I’m literally shaking.” Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, “Does this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?” I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow. Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists. ✍️ @BridgetPhetasy Article: spectator.com/article/shane-…

Finally, a Middle East tour.
What happened to me is bigger than one artist or one stage. When the billionaire class can decide which voices are allowed on stage and which ones are too dangerous to hear, everyone should be paying attention. So we're going on tour. All proceeds will benefit organizations supporting the Palestinian people and movement. Sign up at macklemore.com

Long story short, this is BS. Landslides / avalanches in Nepal have happened for tens of millions of years. In fact, floods associated with landslides are how the V-shaped valleys in the region were carved out millions of years ago at pre-industrial atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) concentrations. The Himalaya is an exceptionally steep and tectonically active mountain range where earthquakes trigger landslides, avalanches, and glacier collapses fairly regularly. The Google Earth satellite image I pulled up shows this well. Although an earthquake likely did not trigger the devastating landslide the other day, moderate earthquakes occur often due to plate tectonic movement lifting the Himalaya upward driving India into the Asian continent, and it is likely earthquakes in recent years and months helped set the stage for this. Frequent seismic shaking in alpine areas can fracture glaciers by creating crevasses, unstable blocks of ice called “seracs,” and hanging ice. 🔗 nhess.copernicus.org/article… The north face of the Himalaya in the Langtang Valley is characterized by steep slopes that are conducive for “hanging glaciers” (a type of glacier that starts high on a steep mountain wall and stops abruptly, usually at a cliff edge). These hanging glaciers are far more susceptible to destabilization and often produce avalanches when ice is knocked loose. Jim Steele (@JimSteeleSkepti) wrote a nice post about the geology behind this; I recommend giving it a read. Although warming and surface melt can affect glacier stability, basal conditions are largely controlled by geothermal heat flux, friction, pressure, and bedrock geography. And while there aren’t any paleoclimate temperature reconstructions in the exact area the recent disaster unfolded, there is evidence that both the Himalaya and Tibetan Plateau were warmer throughout much of the early-to-mid Holocene than they are today (e.g., Chen et al, 2020; Feng et al., 2022), which suggests that glaciers in the region may have also been smaller. 🔗 link.springer.com/article/10… 🔗 agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.… Climate change is real, yes. It always has changed and always will, and I don’t deny that at least some modern warming is due to carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. But glaciers are not a permanent fixture of our environment and we need to quit pretending that they are. Glaciers will always be growing or receding; they are not supposed to stay static over time. Pretending so is a fool’s errand.
The flooding in Nepal and Tibet is devastating. Hundreds of people have died in these catastrophic floods and over 2,000 are still missing. No, President Trump. Climate change is not a hoax. It is causing devastating crises all over the planet.

This is amazing news! And ridiculous that we have had to jump through hoops to protect our hearing.
🚨BREAKING🚨 It's official! @SilencerShop completed the first lawful, unregistered suppressor transfer since June 26th, 1934. @TheAKGuy's purchase was approved & @WesVirdellTX skipped the background check with his concealed carry permit. This is One Big Beautiful Victory. 🇺🇸🔫

Looks good. We'll see if it's just the trailer, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
The threat of radical Islam is real. Hollywood has refused to tell that story for three decades. Now, we’re saying the thing with the biggest, most audacious, funniest and most kickass film Daily Wire has ever released. Here’s the trailer.

"You're lucky we Muslims in here are nice, because if we weren't, our co-religionists outside would burn you to death" isn't an amazing argument
WOW. A student at the Oxford Union tells Tommy Robinson he is lucky they've put security on for him otherwise their Pro-Islam supporters outside would beat him to death This is the Oxford Union, how far it has fallen as an institution when this is the sort of argument made
