I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and through 35 years of dedicated study of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have come to know for myself that its teachings are consistent with the Holy Bible, particularly the words and teachings of our Savior recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. My testimony is not based on blind faith or simply accepting what others have taught me. It has been strengthened through decades of prayer, personal study, reflection, and a sincere desire to understand and follow Jesus Christ. I testify that salvation comes through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and His infinite and eternal Atonement. Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, where He shed His precious blood for our sins, His sacrifice upon the cross, and His glorious Resurrection, He made redemption and eternal life possible for all mankind. I believe Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God, the promised Messiah, the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I believe He lives, that He loves us, and that it is only through His grace, mercy, and atoning sacrifice that we can be reconciled to our Heavenly Father. My faith, my hope, and my salvation rest entirely in Jesus Christ. Not in Joseph Smith, not in any mortal man, and not in theological arguments or religious labels. Others may disagree with my understanding of scripture or my religious beliefs, and I respect their right to do so. But no one can diminish the testimony I have gained through 35 years of sincerely seeking to know and follow Him. Jesus Christ is my Lord, my Savior, and my Redeemer. He is the foundation of my faith, the source of my hope, and the only way to eternal life. Of these truths, I testify without hesitation or apology.

Yes, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yes, I am a Christian. And for those who insist that I’m somehow not a Christian because I don’t subscribe to the Nicene Creed, perhaps a little history and scripture are in order. The Nicene Creed has been the subject of theological controversy since its adoption in AD 325. It was formulated nearly 300 years after Christ’s earthly ministry by a council of bishops convened by the Roman Emperor Constantine. Its teachings were disputed from the beginning, and those disagreements continued for decades. The creed was subsequently developed into the form widely recognized today. The creed employs philosophical concepts and terminology never explicitly taught by Jesus Christ or His apostles. In fact, several of its doctrinal claims raise legitimate questions when compared with Christ’s own words in the New Testament. Jesus declared, “My Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). He addressed His Father as “the only true God” (John 17:3). And He prayed that His disciples would be one, just as He and His Father are one (John 17:21–23). These are not obscure passages or speculative interpretations. They are the recorded words of Jesus Christ Himself. Yet centuries later, church councils adopted theological formulations defining the nature of God in terms that go beyond the explicit language of scripture. You’re certainly entitled to believe in the Nicene Creed. I respect your right to do so. But treating a fourth-century theological declaration as the definitive test of Christianity, while dismissing those who sincerely believe in and follow Jesus Christ, deserves serious scrutiny. My faith in Jesus Christ is not determined by my acceptance of a creed written centuries after His ministry. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of mankind. I believe in His divine mission, His infinite Atonement, His Crucifixion, and His literal Resurrection. I worship Him, strive to follow His teachings, and recognize Him as the only source of salvation. You may disagree with my understanding of the Godhead. That’s your prerogative. But theological disagreement does not give you the authority to declare that my faith in Jesus Christ isn’t Christian. I would rather have my Christianity measured by my faith in Jesus Christ than by my allegiance to a creed formulated nearly three centuries after He walked the earth. And as always, go UTES! 🏈🔴⚪️

🙄 First: I have mad respect for Shaun McKight. Awesome guy! Second: But is a terrible take. This is the kind of crap that should NEVER happen in the chapel on the Sabbath Day. NEVER! It’s inappropriate, irreverent, and makes people hate BYU.
Our ward organist, during sacrament meeting prelude, just LITERALLY worked in the Cougar fight song in a mashup with Joseph Smith’s First Prayer! 🤩

Seeing a lot of hate for the Book of Mormon today on X. So, tell me, what’s to hate about a book with the sole purpose of testifying of Jesus Christ? 2 Nephi 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. And…Go Utes!

I love how a lot of the negative comments are coming from so called “Christians” telling me I’m going to hell, I worship a pedo, and some of the most unchristian things possible. So much hate. If that’s your religion, I’m great with being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

🇺🇸 This man, my friends, is a HERO! 🇺🇸 His name, Kaylub Giamanco. He was reportedly driving by the school on his lunch break when he saw a gunman enter the school. He jumped out his truck and ran after him and NEUTRALIZED the shooter before police were anywhere close. This happened in Bend, Oregon. This man should receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom!
