We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with Cashlink, Germany’s leading provider of asset tokenisation infrastructure.
We will support them with continuous code reviews, and thus bring smart contract security to the asset tokenisation space.
Great things ahead!
🧠Especially the role of smart contracts needs to be highlighted as they offer exciting possibilities but also come with limitations due to their immutability and potential security risks.
📰In our newest article, we analyse three recent case studies, in which decentralised governance did not work out as designed.

🏦More and more projects are passing on power to decentralised governance bodies (DAOs). While this fosters decentralisation, one question remains:
What if things do not work as expected?😨
At 39m 35s, he explains how we approach smart contract security at brainbot.

Conclusion: Smart contract security (audits, bug bounties, monitoring) will remain one of the most important factors for the development of the web3 space. It may not be the driver, yet it can be a huge blocker if not approached correctly. 🔐
Yet, despite the market downturn, the number of hacks remained constant, suggesting that the drop in value lost is mainly attributable to market price changes rather than other developments. 💔
Lastly, a few words on why the statistics for 2023 might not be as positive as they seem. Reasons for the drop may be that the awareness for smart contract security increased and privacy tools like Tornado Cash (used laundering money from hacks) were shut down or blacklisted. 🌪️
3) Modern solutions cause modern problems. As bots to support security research become more and more sophisticated, the same is the case for malicious bots. They exploit users (MEV) and even help hackers to identify potentially vulnerable code. 🤖
2) After years of hesitation, traditional actors are now slowly entering the space (see Bitcoin ETFs, PayPal’s stablecoin). This is decisive for the ecosystem to mature, yet maintaining it will require investments into security as these actors are generally very risk-averse. 🏦
1) More money in the market attracts more hackers. While market prices dropped in 2022, new “easy” targets like bridge liquidity pools appeared. The role of smart contract security researchers is crucial to stay on top of these developments. 📉
Crypto hacks have been on the rise for years and there’s little hope that things will get better.
Let’s explore why smart contract security becomes more important in this context and why the drop in 2023 is not the relief we might hope for.👇
