This trope of “the nice slave owner” where we’re meant to see the good in someone with oppressive power because they’re polite to the people they otherwise Own has to die. It exists exclusively so that white people can feel more comfortable with the systems they benefit from.

Reminder that my criticism of Spindlehorse and its shows never extends to the employees, especially animators and visual artists. HB and HH have some of the most visually stunning work I've seen in indie animation and I'm heartbroken to hear about the recent layoffs.

Amazon is just a distributor, they don't dictate the pay Spindlehorse employees get. They contract with Spindlehorse, they don't own them.
However, Spindlehorse DOES rank in serious royalties from being on Prime, so they absolutely have the money to pay their employees fairly.

Having an abusive family is funny cause yeah it doesn't happen everyday but when it does it lasts months.
Im fed , clothed, educated but at the same time i will always be a 'useless' 'selfish' kid.
They don't say it directly, but everyday I can hear them talking in kitchen

I’m brown and I dont give a fuck cause I’ve observed the way artists are treated just for trying and I don’t blame them.

having such a hard time deciding which hill to die on. all of these hills seem great and I also wouldn’t mind dying in a more flat area

Marinettes wrongs towards the truth and Adrien feel a lot less serious when you remember she shouldn't even have to keep this secret or tell him in the first place considering the adult elephant in the room

since I’m immune to the writing for clout allegations as I regularly disappear into the woods to write whatever the fuck I want, saying fanfic writers have “lost their love of the craft” or whatever for wanting external validation is the most pretentious bullshit I’ve ever heard
alien stage fans fascinate me as a filthy casual because in any other fandom ivantill being unrequited as fuck and ivan dying for a love that can never b reciprocated would prompt artists to pump out the most devastating fanart youll see but ppl are having wars over it instead

I also think Twitter gets too comfortable punishing ppl for doing something they don’t like vs actually doing something WRONG/BAD like okay have an opinion but yall stoning and dogpiling cause someone did something you wouldn’t is weird actually, and they can be mad over it
