A Helping Hand Gives a New Life to Baby Jaswika Sri
For a family in Khammam, what began as the joy of welcoming a newborn soon turned into a painful struggle for their little daughter’s life. On May 9, 2026, Kampati Rakesh and Madhavi were blessed with a baby girl. Just 12 days later, they learned that their newborn was suffering from a serious heart condition and needed an expensive surgery.
Unable to bear the financial burden of the treatment, the family was left anxious and helpless. The baby’s grandmother, Narasamma, who works in sanitation services at the Khammam Municipal Corporation, brought the child’s condition to the attention of Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Augustya.
Moved by the family’s plight, the @MC_Khammam @_augustya responded immediately. He coordinated with the Hridaya charitable organisation and the government authorities and facilitated financial assistance of Rs. 14 lakh for the baby’s heart surgery.
The support came as a ray of hope for the family. On July 28, the baby successfully underwent heart surgery and is now recovering well.
With gratitude for the timely intervention that helped save their daughter’s life, Rakesh and Madhavi brought their baby to the Municipal Commissioner’s office during the grievance programme. They thanked Commissioner Abhishek Augustya for standing by them during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
As a gesture of affection and gratitude, the family requested the Commissioner to name their daughter after him. Accepting their request with happiness, Commissioner Abhishek Augustya named the baby “Jaswika Sri.”
The moment was more than a naming ceremony. It reflected how timely intervention, compassion and a willingness to help can bring hope to a family in distress.
Commissioner Abhishek Augustya wished little Jaswika Sri a long, healthy and happy life. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make the child’s treatment possible.

Too many disingenuous cries for de-escalation from fancy ivory towers on our side make an impression that the intent for kinetic action is same on both sides.
For us, the objective is maximum annihilation of terror enterprise across the border so that no more innocent lives succumb to Pak sponsored terror. It will buy us peace for a decade or so before the enemy regroups and develops another modus operandi to hit us.
Whereas for their army, the intent is to stay dominant in the region they call a country by concerted manipulation of their people through misinformation and insidious propaganda.
In this context, a call for de- escalation connotes backing down before our objectives are achieved.
This flurry of national anger being vented out over terror attacks on tourists is natural for a community that has lost so much because it shares boundary with a failed theocratic state.
But while calling on our govt to go for a disproportionate revenge against perpetrators, both across the border and within our home, we must not forget that the modus operandi adopted by the terrorists wherein they kill people from hindu community is not novel and has always been the fundamental weapon of warfare for our neighbour.
It feeds into its domestic propaganda and helps recruit more youth for the jihadi agenda, and for us the act is way more sophisticated than any propaganda could ever do to further the religious divide in our country.
Kashmir has recently been returning to prosperity and we must ask ourselves who gains at its loss. There would be many black sheep in our country and our intelligence agencies will hunt them down and deal with them in the harshest ways. But this primitive rage triggered by our tribal instincts on witnessing the massacre of our kins should not block our cognitive ability to understand the geopolitical context and enemy’s way of operating.
Unless we understand the raison d’être of those at the helm of affairs in our neighbouring country and the recent speech made by its army chief, we’d readily walk into the trap set by their propaganda ministry. The terrorists who rampaged through the meadows will soon be gunned down, however many amongst us will become foot soldiers of the enemy’s narrative forever.

To break out of the mould of low income trap in a society where wealth concentration at top rung is always increasing, certainty of minimum wages for both spouses, term insurance, subsided food, education & health offset some of the impediments to inter generational parity.
The housekeeping workers employed at the Khammam Municipal Corporation office expressed great joy and satisfaction today upon receiving their first salary through the TLF. This marked a significant moment for them, as the timely payment acknowledged their hard work and dedication.
The workers conveyed their gratitude and happiness by giving sweet box, stating that the support from TLF has brought them a sense of security and motivation to continue their duties with renewed enthusiasm.
The happiness of workers is invaluable. Let the workers smile, and you’ll see the workplace shine. When workers feel valued and supported, their happiness reflects in their work

Been observing the same from past few days. The most popular people in our society seem to be using all their leverage to nudge the youth towards betting and intoxication, both historically known to have ruined individuals and families.
Every 2nd Ad on IPL is: either that of a Pan Masala OR a promotion for a betting app.
Bollywood celebs, Cricketers who built their entire fame on public (and earned 100+ crore at least). Are now mass promoting these products.
(To earn some more money)
IPL will be over soon. We will have MORE kids who will get hooked to bad habits like gambling & eating pan-masala.
But:-
- The cricketers will get richer. Bollywood celebs will get richer.
- IPL will churn out even more money.
- Authorities will turn their blind eye on these powerful folks.
Society will continue to worship these demi-gods: who will kill kids at the alter of money.
