IS anyone else hearing about the RTX 5090 being discontinued? I just got a laptop with a 5090 in it...is this good or bad for me?

Good morning all. Hope everyone has a great morning and a productive week!

I'm not competitive. There is no competition!

Running a 27b parameter LLM completely local is pretty satisfying. It's a little slow, but it's mine. And it is secure. It was a pretty good amount of money, but so far (after just a day), I'm calling it worth it.

New hardware. ROG Strix... 32GB DDR5 memory, Nvidia RTX 5090 24GB VRAM. Pretty cool, quite stoked.

Finally got on X money. Pretty hearty interest rate!

Donations welcome and certainly appreciated. PayPal.me/aserwin Thanks you!

Nvidia's Nemotron 3 is quite cabale..and it's free. Anyone tried it yet?

I am writing a web app for a client that it is a little different than what I usually do. I hate that I am not able to share it. It is Go backend with (wait for it...) NextJS front end (yes, me...who complains endlessly about javascript and frameworks). I am pretty proud of it so far. Hopefully I will be able to share it with everyone soon.

Common sense and profundity are not mutually exclusive...

Someone say something. It is so quiet in X land this evening...what is everyone working on?

Does anyone still use Node to run their backend Javascript? Bun exists, and is so very cool...
