I was recently in Paris and the protests I saw were consistently diverse, made up of white French, Arabs/Muslims, Black Africans etc. Even the police reflected that diversity. But this platform and right-wing outlets keep zooming in on Arabs and Muslims. I guess injecting an extra dose of Islamophobia is needed to bolster Le Pen ahead of the next French election.

This ad gets so much right: An embrace of what sociologist Robert Bellah calls American civil religion, a reclamation of his name ("Servant") as a call to public service, and pride in his own faith without having to overstate it. The subtle delivery is what makes it land so well.

If he creates a Mehdiist nationalist armed group, takes control of 80% of the United States, occupies the remaining 20%, and expels the existing inhabitants of the US to Mexico and gives US homes to anyone who moves to the US from England or India, then yeah sort of
So that means that @mehdirhasan, who was born in England and whose parents are from India, is stealing land in the US.
I mean, those are his rules, right?

He says the name just fine when he’s begging the Qataris for a personal jet or the Saudis for funding for his son-in-law’s private equity firm.
Wonder what’s changed?

💥In an unhinged all-caps declaration, Israeli PM Netanyahu demands you believe him, not your lying eyes. Not the broken bones. Not the incinerated homes. Only him, and him alone.
The Prime Minister's Office:
ALLEGED ATTACK ON EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS REQUIRE SERIOUS EVIDENCE.
We urge caution before drawing conclusions from today's reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Any violence against diplomats is unacceptable. The more serious the accusation, the greater the demand for compelling evidence.
Here is what we know:
- The diplomatic delegation entered a sensitive area with a history of confrontations without prior coordination with the IDF, as officially confirmed by the military. Such coordination is essential to protecting visiting diplomats and preventing violence.
- The visit included Bernard Baudoux, a French Communist Party mayor who previously raised the Palestinian flag over his municipal building, prompting French authorities to order its removal.
- Published footage shows masked individuals confronting a diplomatic vehicle. Separate images show a smashed window and a person lying on the ground. These images alone do not establish the complete sequence of events or individual responsibility. Those circumstances remain under investigation.
- Israeli police and forensic investigators have launched an investigation to establish the facts and identify those responsible.
These reports come amid concerns about a coordinated campaign to smear Israel and the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria during the annual olive harvest, relying on sensational headlines before the full facts emerge.
We may see further allegations in the coming days. By the time the evidence is fully examined, the reputational damage from premature conclusions may already be done.
We call on the public and responsible journalists to demand verifiable evidence, reject hearsay, and refuse to turn unproven allegations into a collective indictment of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.

Yay. Now we get to listen to Israelis lamenting that they didn’t know how bad things were in the West Bank all this time. Because listening to/believing Palestinians - who for decades have systematically documented/reported what is happening - was never an option.
“Everything we thought we knew about the deeds of violent settlers pales in comparison to the reality on the ground.” In a guest essay Nimrod Novik describes the shock he felt on a tour of the West Bank economist.com/by-invitation/…

💥Belgium argues for sanctions against Israel. You really can't beat Netanyahu's diplomatic magic touch.
🇵🇸 I condemn in the strongest terms the attack by masked settlers in Taybeh, in the occupied West Bank, against Palestinians, our Consul General, French and Polish diplomats as well as catholic representatives. A French mayor was assaulted and a Belgian vehicle damaged. Our team is safe.
Palestinians face this violence every day. Settlers also target journalists reporting on it and diplomats. Harvesting olives, reporting the news or carrying out diplomatic duties should never put anyone at risk of attack.
As the occupying power, Israeli authorities must protect Palestinians, ensure the safety of diplomats and journalists, and bring those responsible to justice. Impunity for violent settlers must end.
Belgium will continue to press for EU sanctions against those responsible for this violence and those who support them.
This violence cannot be separated from Israel’s illegal settlement policy. Belgium condemns settlement expansion and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land. The occupation of the Palestinian territory must end.

What do you mean “of all people”? Seinfeld took his family to Shoot a Palestinian summer camp. He’s a disgusting racist degenerate.

BREAKING: Masked Israeli "settlers" attacked a convoy of European diplomats from France, Belgium and Poland during an olive harvest visit to the Christian Palestinian village of Taybeh, near Ramallah.
Seven settlers on ATVs surrounded the vehicles, demanded IDs, threw stones and smashed the window of a Belgian consulate car.

In 1964 Malcolm X visited Khan Younis and met with a poet who'd escaped being massacred by Israel in 1956.
Already in 1958, Malcolm X argued that African Americans, if properly informed, would be “completely in sympathy with the Arab cause.”
On 5 September 1964, he visited Gaza, including the Khan Younis refugee camp and a hospital. There he met Palestinian poet Harun Hashim Rashid, who told him about escaping the Israeli assault on Gaza in 1956, during which Israeli forces massacred Palestinians in Khan Younis.
Malcolm recorded their conversation in his diary and copied a Palestinian poem about the longing to return home.
After praying with local religious leaders, he wrote: “The spirit of Allah was strong.”
On 15 September, he met the chairman of the newly established PLO, Ahmad al-Shukeiri, in Cairo.
Two days later, he published *Zionist Logic*.
His argument? Ancient religious claims do not give people the right to displace those already living on the land. He compared the Zionist argument to descendants of the Moors claiming Spain as theirs.
He also accused Israel of serving Western imperial interests and using economic assistance in Africa as an instrument of neocolonialism, which he called “dollarism.”
He continued criticizing Zionism in February 1965, shortly before his assassination on 21 February.

This directly contradicts the ICJ provisional measures order since it ordered Israel to *preserve evidence*

it’s so funny that western media outright ignores these conversations and still acts like there’s a “two state solution” israel is committed to.

I cried at the top of Mt. Kenya, so it's mine now, I guess.
I was on a flight to Israel and struck up a conversation with the lady beside me. She was Jewish; her family were Holocaust survivors. As we saw the coastline of Israel from the window, she burst into tears. It was her first time visiting. Tell me again how Jews have no connection to the land of Israel.

The goal is that once all this is over, there will be no evidence the Palestinians had ever been there.

Imagine reporting on a massive rodent infestation on the Israeli side of the Gaza border without mentioning Gaza.
The elephant in the room? Gaza.
i24NEWS reports on a rodent infestation overwhelming homes, farms and communities in southern Israel, yet sidesteps the crucial context: Gaza has been suffering its own severe infestation amid the devastation of the war, with rodents spreading beyond the Strip.
The destruction doesn't stop at the border. Neither do its consequences. Why report on the mice while ignoring the bigger picture?
