Ammaarah

The more concealed you keep your personal efforts for the sake of Allāh Ta'ālā, the more widely Allāh Ta'ālā spreads the benefit of your efforts among His creation. Every student of 'ilm scholar should make it a point to read something or learn something daily, solely for the pleasure of Allāh Ta'ālā. Not for a bayān, not to quote to others, not to post only or to impress anyone, nor for any other purpose. Rather, purely for his own iṣlāḥ and to draw closer to Allāh Ta'ālā. Allāh Ta'ālā will then, through His grace, cause the benefits of that knowledge to reach the Ummah. Likewise, every public figure, Imām and khaṭīb should have a portion of private, secluded 'ibādah, alongside his public acts of worship, which is exclusively for Allāh Ta'ālā. That private worship is what puts the power in the worship that he does publicly.
