This is the greatest document I have ever worked on. The entire @yimbymelbourne team made such an enormous effort here, and it shows. The report is well over 11k words, 50 pages, and features endorsements and exclusive quotes from a phenomenal array of stakeholders.
Today, we release our flagship Melbourne's Missing Middle report. We want a Melbourne for everyone. One that's liveable, affordable, and sustainable. This document provides the key steps to getting us there. yimbymelbourne.org.au/missin…

Today, we put out a press release about Melbourne's Missing Middle. Our definition is simple: Melbourne, our nation's most European city, needs six-storey, mixed-use Parisian density. yimbymelbourne.org.au/post/w…

The solution to the housing crisis isn't 2 hr+ commutes everyday with endless suburban sprawl. It's too painful and the economics are completely warped. Car ownership isn't cheap. The answer has always been to build where people actually wish to live. theconversation.com/outer-su…

The work of our colleagues @GreaterCanberra cannot be understated. Their years of effort are paying off in massive ways, and we cannot wait to see Canberra become, well, greater because of them.
MEDIA RELEASE: Inquiry backs Greater Canberra's call for zoning reform The @ACT_Assembly's Inquiry into Housing and Rental Affordability has backed the necessity of planning reforms to deliver more medium- and high-density housing in the places Canberrans want to live. 1/

Global cities like Vancouver and Vienna have greater density than our largest cities and are much more liveable. Time for Australian politicians at all levels and policy wonks to recognise the benefits of greater density. theage.com.au/business/the-e…

This is a huge outcome for Maribyrnong. Heritage overlays lock in housing affordability challenges. Tonight we helped our area remain accessible to everyone.
A victory for Maribyrnong residents tonight, as Planning Scheme Amendment C172 is abandoned by @MaribyrnongCC. 800 homes have been saved tonight from "protection" by a new #heritagemadness overlay, forever restricting housing use and supply. Thank you councillors.

Tonight at @MaribyrnongCC, we want to see the Council vote against #heritagemadness and in favour of families and small businesses. If Amendment C172 passes, we'll see almost 900 blocks locked up indefinitely, with permanent restrictions on solar panels and building materials.
