Enough time has passed, i think Xuanfang cast is disappointing (tw: personal opinion) Don't get me wrong. I still think this is one of the best designed casts we ever have, and each of them stands out really well initially. My major problem with Xuanfang cast is simply-

hun quick PSA: using words you don't understand meaning of makes you look very stupid and your point completely void mary sue is a "perfect" character. no you don't need to use GARY STU if they are male, it's a trope. john doe is a placeholder name, its a completely diff thing

but like rover is like very john doe/mary sue, not many characters flaws and instead of being like a true character involved in the story, they seems more like an overseer or a god. its like cmon cant we add some variety? why do they never lose…? lets not forget we play for the characters, not for rover… also lets not forget they changed the story to prioritize rover more back in the beta so, even the og devs thought it was gimmicky and overdone.

what gacha games even offer quest replay value??? VN based games usually put out so much text you just read everything new (ak, r1999), and 3d based games quite literally do not let you replay their quests ...well, with the sole exception of wuwa of course-

here's the problem wuwas story quest are great but offers very little in comparison to alot of other gachas in terms of replay value which is not good considering its a game its fine to love wuwa but let's not be ignorant and ignore the reasons why ppl would prefer other gachas

also in case we are talking about watching playthroughs, i highly recommend finding someone enjoyable and rewatching every wuwa quest with them, you get to pick up and piece the info far easier and also notice all the foreshadowing and other stuff while at it, its great.

just to be clear: i do not claim that this is precisely how they see it but rather how it looks like for me from the conversations they usually engage in during/after all these stories. i just love how thought provoking this game could be, and that it brings comfort to people.
