Second, I find that teachers who do decide to transfer schools are more likely to transfer to schools with a greater percentage of racially congruent colleagues than their original school. As with my turnover findings, I also show a diminishing return to this relationship
These main findings combine to suggest that racially congruent colleagues are important, with respect to decreasing turnover and influencing transfer preference, but also that teachers appear to prefer schools with at least some racial diversity edworkingpapers.com/ai24-108…
