I was interviewed by Qaanitah Hunter and the issue of where to read a party’s manifesto came up in the beginning of my answer to which she interrupted. I wanted to also say the manifesto is available in most languages and shorter infographics. She pushed back on the idea and I asked and remarked about our own responsibility to inform our selves and make a decision not just on manifesto but we can’t outsource that kind of work to other people. You see that clearly in how EFF policies are called radical, the majority parties block them in council then proceed to implement them where we strategically present them with no alternative eg insourcing security workers in Johannesburg and they now claim that as their party victory and no radical framing is used against them even by media.

I also arrived 40 mins early and finished a SABC interview and once done by 15:30 we tried to enter they told us we can’t access the rooms yet because other panelists have not arrived. I asked HQ to ask the person who invited us to please let them know it’s raining and it’s cold. We did enter at 15:54 and I said holding room is unnecessary as we’re due to start and I said it means we will start late however I’ll need to leave at the time of 18:00 the two hour mark and that I’m here and we should start.
