Folks who are absolutely belittle the indian tech ecosystem because of this emudhra thing, needs to be reminded that -
1. In 2019, Facebook stored passwords for around 400 Million users in plaintext inside internal systems, found out after an attack.
2. In 2017, Equifax’s Argentina employee portal for handling credit disputes was protected by the username and password **“admin” / “admin”**.
3. In 2013, Adobe breach exposed data on 150M accounts, as the passwords weren't hashed.
4. Uber directly left AWS keys on github - TWICE. In 2014 and 2016, and data of 57M riders and drivers was leaked.
Gross incompetency from Indian certificate authority eMudhra.
You had one job: generate a 384 bit private keys and instead you used: 4, 56, 66, 115, 155, 156, 230, and 237.
This allows attackers to issue certificates for any websites.
Embarrassing that it’s a family business run by largely computer illiterate people. Only 1 of the 3 have a remotely computer-related background and even they never actually worked a technical job in their life. If you look at the LinkedIn, their tech team is young, from tier 3 education and paid sort of bottom barrel.
Imagine how many attacks you can design with AI given the existence of this genre of gross negligence.

Last year, when E2E Networks was loss-making and didn’t even have a meaningful PE multiple, hardly anyone seemed concerned about valuation.
Now, profitability is growing exponentially and the PE multiple is compressing, yet suddenly everyone is shouting, “Higher PE, Higher PE!”
The irony of the market is fascinating. People often ignore the business when it’s struggling and start questioning valuations just when the business begins to deliver!

September trade deficit falls from $14 billion to $13 billion YoY (goods and services, combined.) That is almost completely further plugged in by remittances. Indian trade account (including gold and remittances) remains almost perfectly in balance.
Now that the RBI has stabilised the rupee, which saw an individually-rational and collectively-speculative attack, net capital flows should also return especially as the AI trade deflates and Anthropic IPO brings a spotlight to frontier lab econ/TAM, as I have been saying. Gross FDI has anyway been hitting records for India.
Too early to declare victory as Trump and Iran may have one more go at each other after the US midterms and the market maybe pricing in some LTCG/STCG concessions at least for FIIs, but kudos to RBI, PM/FM/HM for continuing to navigate this during an especially turbulent time with the US in its G2 phase.
