Simulating a cool 1M particles with MLS-MPM in real time. Pressure appears to be not calculated correctly, as it introduces additional energy into the system, but I like the results overall!

This is why MLS-MPM is kind of cool: it's, basically, computational fluid dynamics with soft body physics included for free:) Next step — make elasticity per particle, to simulate melting. And then coupling with hypersonic reentry simulator for reentry destruction simulation)

Pretty strange question, but are there any walkaround videos of starship? Or orbit shots from drone? I'm trying to simulate the starship reentry heating / shockwaves, but I need a good 3D model for that.

And after a bit of a pause after my MUSCL-HLL solver for rocket exhaust / reentry sim, I'm back to liquids with MLS-MPM. This is a first 'working' snapshot, and while I see that the system adds energy somewhere, the ground work is done:) Also, good way to check out gemini 3
