My best friend is a urologist, and once or twice she has had inappropriate experiences with (male) patients .
To be clear: this happens almost never, and usually those are accidents.
But some time ago, she had a male patient who was getting an erection during a medical examination.
Now think about this: you are not there for your general enjoyment. Usually something is wrong, you experience pain, you are afraid it will be some kind of cancer, etc.
This is serious business.
So getting excited usually is an embarrassing thing for a patient.
But not for this one.
When Freya looked at him, he was smiling β clearly all pleased with himself and not at all taken aback.
His grin was all wrong, and Freya knew it.
βMister, can you wipe that smirk off your face while I examen you β this is serious !β
But he refused, and even ordered her to proceed.
That was (of course) the end of the examination.
She told the man to look for another doctor, and had him escorted out of the hospital.
He was furious, and demanded to be examined, but that was (of course) too late.
The short story is: he was a pervert, and he might have been a very sick pervert.
And in that case he lost precious time.

Funeral Director: βThe family is refusing to leave. They say we cremated the wrong person.β
Crematorium Manager: βWhat do you mean, the wrong person?β
Funeral Director: βThey brought the identification photograph. Theyβre saying the person in the photograph isnβt their mother.β
Manager: βThatβs impossible. We verified the identification before the service.β
Funeral Director: βThen explain why the daughter is saying the identification bracelet had a different surname.β
The manager called the crematorium technician who had prepared the body.
Manager: βDid you check the identification bracelet?β
Technician: βYes. I checked it against the paperwork.β
Manager: βAnd everything matched?β

My son was suspended for selling exam answers.
That was exactly how the email from his school described it. Academic dishonesty. Distribution of confidential examination materials. Mandatory disciplinary meeting.
He was a sophomore, consistently on the honor roll, and had never been in trouble before.
I was furious.
I spent the entire drive to school wondering how a boy who had everything going for him could throw it all away for a few hundred dollars.
When we arrived, the principal was waiting with his mathematics teacher.

Apparently, this is fiction. Thatβs good, because I don't think any doctor would do a vasectomy on a 20yo.
