Hello, Twitterverse. I'm not sure what to put here in the About Me section but I'll try to come up with something witty.

By not hiring Villenueve in the first place.

The script got finshed this summer and filming was always after Dune 3 in December. They literally officially started casting calls this summer and will soon have an actor to announce. How are they meant to have a film finished by now?

One of the best directors? Maybe if you let hype merchants dictate your opinion. Villenueve is a dour and sexless director. Bond 26 will be a disaster regardless who gets cast as Bond. Bond doesn't and has never needed arthouse/Oscar bait directors.
They still rushed Mendes, lol. You want Bond leadership to perpetually be Cubby and are mad one of the best directors alive is doing a Bond movie.

They shouldn't be waiting on director to finished his other commitments. Broccoli did this with Sam Mendes for Spectre when she should've promoted Alexander Witt from second unit director like her father used to do. Amazon MGM shouldn't wait on "prestige" directors.

Amazon were waiting for Villenueve to start and finish filming Dune 3, after he was announced as the new Bond director.

Enough of the Nolan faux seriousness!
Denis Villeneuve’s take on Bond 26 won't be a rookie origin story. He's planning a radical reinvention. Instead of a fresh-faced novice learning the basics, we will get a mature operative with a deeply explored military history. This approach lets Villeneuve ground the character in modern realism while preserving Bond's dangerous, lethal edge.

Indecisiveness is correct. I'm been saying Pascal & Heyman and Villenueve are likely disagreeing on who should be Bond. It shouldn't be that way. Bond should've been cast and had a picture finished and out in theaters by now. Pascal, Heyman, and Villenueve need to go.
The process of casting a new James Bond has been dragged out for years to a point where I can’t believe anyone still cares. The same indecisiveness which infected Broccoli after Skyfall has carried over to Amazon. People who are this indecisive cannot produce a good movie.

My thoughts on Bond casting choices...

It was a disaster the moment they announced that Denis Villenueve was directing.

They need to throw out Villenueve, throw out Pascal & Heyman, they all need to go!

I would've given the series a 10 year rest before starting again.
It's hard to cast a James Bond during the most Low T generation ever. They should probably just wait five more years so that healthy Gen Alpha candidates emerge.

He wouldn't be horrible at all. I'm not enthusiastic about the guy but he does have movie star/leading man potential.
I like how we all collectively agree that Jacob Elordi as Bond is horrible casting

I'll admit I don't have much enthusiasm for any of the choices. I didn't have much enthusiasm for Elordi either.
Jack Lowden and Callum Turner are among the final names in the running for James Bond. Final screen tests for Amazon MGM Studios' new 007 are set to happen in the next week. variety.com/2026/film/global…

Idle speculation: Pascal & Heyman want either Turner or Lowden Villenueve wants or wanted Elordi.
I get the feeling that Pascal & Heyman and Villenueve are not in agreement on who should be Bond.... Idle speculation on my part.

Maybe I'm right.

Honestly I think Callum Turner might get the role.
At least four test offers for the role to play James Bond have been given out and while unconfirmed, insiders tell Deadline that three of the four actors expected to test are Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Josh O’Connor. We should've had two new Bond pictures already. Amazon MGM, Pascal and Heyman need to get wise and kick Villeneuve off this picture.
Denis Villeneuve decided to direct the new James Bond movie after completing "Dune 3" because "I need a very powerful rocket to pull me away from Arrakis." “I said, ‘Maybe it’s a good idea to go back to [Dune for a third movie], not out of nostalgia, not because I miss it, but the opposite — I’m tired of it. I want to make sure that I will be severe with the material. That I will not be complacent. I thought, ‘When it’s done, I need a very powerful rocket to pull me away from Arrakis.’ When I was asked to do the next Bond, I said: ‘Okay, this is what I need.’” (via Empire) variety.com/2026/film/news/d…

Tolkien would've hated what Jackson did to his story.
Suppose that Tolkien were asked to rate Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings films on a scale from 1 to 4, where 4 is best. How would he rate them?

Bringing style, wit and charisma to the role of Bond. Remembering Sir Roger Moore on what would have been his 99th birthday.
