Wasn’t sure if anyone was going to show up to my event, but was very surprised ( and thankful) to everyone that took the time to come. Really meant a LOT !!! My team and I are ready to work hard to raise the bar higher for Marfa 2027. Stay tuned ❤️

I think it’s not just about supply, it’s also about integrity of the collection. You don’t want an iconic OG collection that a history of digital collectibles cannot be written without to be messed with and burned left and right.
No one burns one of 15 or so Da Vinci, not even for the richest fuck of them all.
10k item collection might sound like a lot. But if one dreams big, there are literally 40,000,000+ physical sports card collectors out there, and those BAYC are some of the early cards on chain in a sense. That’s just one addressable market and many more out there. The total addressable market is huge, so will be the demand when this category is matured.
Remember even Jordan PMG red card (a top 5-10 MJ card of all time) was sitting on ebay for $300 for half a year with nobody touching back in 2008, and now it sells for $1.5M in semi top grade. No one back then think 5000x is possible and yet here we are.
When a collection/ecosystem has mega mutants that are at least low to mid 7 figures, and tightly held, one should not focus on floor prices all day.
A club and its holders’ assets should be measured by grail items or at least middle/uppermiddle items.
Definitely not by liquid items from owners who need to quickly sell for whatever reason, or holders who don’t want to be there, or just opportunistically extract for arbitrage (either buying from low listings or getting WETH bids accepted at low probability for a low price from inactive accounts or unlisted items).

legendary project, need more of this
tonight, death and taxes ends.
a group of citizens organized. a large holder agreed to sacrifice four of their own citizens, 17 eth each. the group pooled the funds and bought the final four deaths. i didn't end the game. the citizens did. i can't imagine a better ending than that.
tonight the four are killed, the population reaches 69, and this phase of the game officially concludes.
now the important part, survivors:
your share of the treasury does not move on its own. claiming is a pull function. it does not happen automatically. you go to the site and you claim it yourself. there is exactly one place to do this: deptofdeath.xyz/irs. anyone who sends you anywhere else is trying to steal your hard earned eth.
the 69 will be paid exactly as written. that sentence has been on every surface of this project since the beginning. tonight it comes true.
i'm proud of what i built. the art, the strategy, the mechanics, the puzzles, the story. but, it also cost far more than i expected. it broke me emotionally. damaged relationships with people i genuinely care about. i said from the start that the tension and the discourse was part of the art. some days that was hard to believe.
thank you to everyone who played, watched, doubted, screamed, accused, and stayed. all of it was participation. all of it is in the work.
to the 69: you outlived a world. survived 201 grueling days. you will soon collect what the world owes you.
i'll have more to share later. still trying to process all of this. the subnet is coming. but for now i need a vacation.
