I get why but I hate that this is how collaborations are done. It strips away the authenticity of it. There’s something special thinking about two different artists being in a room together and really coming up with something special

That just reads like they wrote all the songs, sent her 5 and went will you sing one of these verses for us. It’s just a bit meh

The thing is, there’s not really a punishment that strikes us hard enough for what people want imo. We just have to deal with that
For those interested, I've just read the paywalled Oliver Holt piece on the rumoured sanctions facing City. My takeaway is that he thinks expulsion from the Premier League is unlikely due to the disruption it would cause. Instead, he suggests a substantial points deduction, potentially leading to relegation, is a more plausible outcome. Possibly followed by a further deduction that would effectively keep City in the Championship for the following season. He also argues that while any punishment should be significant, there should ultimately be a route for the club to rebuild rather than being permanently cast out. He further suggests there is pressure for any sanction to be announced before the appeals process has fully concluded, although a final resolution could still take some time. Up to you if you choose to believe it. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Unless all the players leave, these punishments don’t actually mean much do they. If we get relegated and keep the squad, we’ll just win the fa cup, or UCL and stay in Europe, we’ll walk the championship and be back up within the 3 seasons. That’s if we keep the players

Ultimately the only punishment the general football fan will accept is one that results in all the players leaving, which on the surface of it to me anyway, seems less likely that most would imagine if we were to be relegated

Some people saying how easy this actually is. But it’s not is it, we literally have linesmen who’s whole job is to spot offsides and are positioned perfectly to do so and it was too hard for them to do naturally so VAR had to come into play
He actually needs to be studied bc how does he actually know offsides this well whilst being on the pitch

Obviously footballers have to be quite good at reading offside but Haaland is also quite clearly on a different level to most. Being able to spot it when moving at such high speed, not in a perfect position to spot it and it not being your focus is insane

He’s a weird player bc he absolutely was phenomenal opening few games but also loves an absolute howler. Maybe that’s just what you get with him, a good player but not elite

This he knew it was offside tho bc it’s Haaland we are talking about and he has a 6th sense for offsides. Ndiaye and Enzo should’ve definitely scored tho
Hilarious how much that was like ffs if neither of you are gonna stick it in then

Donnarumma at corners has to be the worst footballer of all time

Dias shoots like only a defender could but it goes so cleanly and like an arrow it’s beautiful

Ndiaye’s shooting tech is a bit meh but his energy and directness definitely makes up for it

It’s clearly a well produced, high quality body of work. But I have to agree that very little of the songs actually strike me much. I’ve gave it 3 full listen throughs now and no part of it is stuck in my head
What are people's thoughts on Dopamine Chamber by Fontaines D.C.? I was so so hyped for this album and just feel like it fell flat? None of the songs have really landed for me and the only standouts are the singles. Am I a minority? A few more listens needed I think.

Romance had incredible hooks and riffs, skinty fia had some of the best modern guitar songs and incredible storytelling and everyone knows how clever and experimental dogrel and a hero’s death were. I don’t need them to remake the same thing over and over btw

This album just sounds like a band who have reached a financial point and have all the resources to make any song sound good. They can write anything and the production level and instrumentation used will make it sound good regardless
