I always found it interesting how Sodam Yat was a Daxamite (pseudo-Kryptonian) given a Green Lantern ring and the Ion Entity… Yet that was never enough to make him as competent or noteworthy as the Earthmen Lanterns. It’s like the difference in willpower transcends physiology.

I really hate that modern Spider-Man writers have clearly not read his Silver Age comics, because the whole point of Gwen Stacy was that she HATED Spider-Man and DID NOT KNOW he was Peter Parker. Peter prolonging their relationship through dishonesty is why Gwen Stacy died.

Modern comics mainly prioritise action and are pretty much pitches for potential TV series or movies. Older comics on the other hand, focused on the main character, their supporting cast, personal lives and had soap opera drama which became a lost art in modern comics.
