i'll take the 100th isekai banner over AUs any day of the week because they still add to cuttent tl mc; just look at finale undone which has allowed us to witness an otherwhise impossible scenario where sylus was the one to forget mc, and mc who navigated living in a world like that with him. and then the ending where they finally return to linkon and we see the very real impact those circumstances had on their current life and relationship... irdgaf if it's the 20th protocore fluctuation of the year, imo it'll always be better than a one off story that ultimately has no impact on sylusmc the characters─only on us the audience because we can draw conclusions for potential myth hints or parallels to other cards. but i, personally, enjoy the stories more when it has consequences and impact on the characters themselves. that's also why i can't really see AUs as mini myths because the actual myths do have impact on current tl sylusmc, they matter in the grand scheme of things and shape the characters into who they are today. now, doesn't mean that i didn't enjoy the AUs we got so far and won't continue to enjoy the ones in the future. just saying that if i had to choose, i'd choose the isekai banners. ty for coming to my ted talk :)
