We have all been White Sox fans for long enough to know the future isn’t guaranteed and that every playoff appearance is sacred. Who knows what will happen tomorrow, but I will appreciate this moment in time for what it is. They don’t usually play in games of this magnitude.

Liam Hendriks has announced his retirement. In 14 Major League seasons with six teams, Hendriks made 490 appearances, was a 3-time All-Star, and a 2-time winner of the Mariano Rivera Reliever of the Year award. Perhaps his greatest achievement was his inspirational comeback from non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Hendriks was a pillar of the community in every city he played and was nominated for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award seven times. Congratulations on a remarkable career, Liam 👏❤️
