What does biohacking look like when the system you're hacking is biology itself? 📷 At our next @DEFCON402 meetup, Jake Madison brings together IT, biology, and computational biology, including firsthand experience with research reporting a tripling of lifespan in a mouse model.

Spend time with John, learning how they work, how to build one, and some actual hardware doing its thing. Basically: science fair for computer nerds. 🤓 github.com/EngineersNeedArt/…

What happens when you build a computer without a CPU? At our upcoming @DEFCON402 meetup, John Calhoun is going old school with Analog Computers. 25 years at Apple. A year spent obsessing over analog computing. And now… he’s bringing his homemade analog computers to the meetup.

The off-grid solar setup @_kernelcon_ worked great. Thursday's rain meant we ran on battery, Friday's sun powered everything and charged the 16kwh battery back to 100% and powered the equipment directly. Max wattage from the array was 3124 watts. 30 laptops. 1 local AI server, core network gear + 2x starlink dish setups. Any questions let us know! Happy to post an overview of what we used, what we liked, and what we would do differently. kernelcon.org hackspace.io @hackspaceio

This year at @_kernelcon_ the theme is OFF-GRID. A new project in the hardware hacking village is building an FM radio from a hardware kit. You solder it all together. We'll help. When you're done, tune in to the official Kernelcon Radio station, 91.9 KCOB "The Cob" to test out your radio, hear some tunes, and stay on top of all the conference announcements, brought to you by AI. hackspace.io/HHV_radio.mp3 kernelcon.org/register Kernelcon HHV projects and info are posted here: hackspace.io/kernelcon-2026-… @_kernelcon_ @hackspaceio
