Imagine not being able to find peace in your own country because you’re constantly expected to accept changes you never agreed to. South Africans deserve to feel at home in South Africa.

🚨As it stands like I said Pirates will win by 2-0 however, they have played two more games than Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.
Games in hand are not points but it works for Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns. Keep pushing the Buccaneers, you will never know maybe Sundowns can drop points.

I see why that sentence gets said, because pain looks for patterns.
“All men are the same” usually means “I met the same behavior in different bodies.” That’s not sameness, it’s repetition. Trauma teaches the nervous system to scan for familiar harm, and it starts selecting what it already knows how to survive.
Men aren’t interchangeable. Patterns are. Until the pattern is examined, it keeps wearing new faces and feeling like proof.
The shift isn’t finding a different type of man. It’s interrupting the loop that keeps choosing the same dynamic in a different costume.

The heart break Vaal feels is honestly unimaginable. Every voice note from home, new details, new pain…
The last time, in my memory, we felt collective pain like this was after Boipatong.
Which, in case you you’re wondering, is just across the Mittal firm on the left.
Less than an 8 min drive away.
We’re a small, close knit community with deep emotional scars, characterised by large scale poverty and lack of service delivery.
All those schools, Vanderbiljpark Primary, Oliver Lodge, Vaal High… We went to those schools.
May God help us.

The tension stems from South African men who feel overshadowed by Nigerian men in relationships. Nigerians have changed the dynamics of dating in South Africa. Previously, it was easy for South African men to attract South African women without much effort or expense. However, when Nigerian men arrived, the dynamics shifted. South African women began comparing local men to Nigerian men, and some even started cheating on their South African partners with Nigerians. This has deeply hurt many black South African men.
The most painful aspect for these men is their reliance on validation from South African women. They often praise and celebrate the beauty of South African women, yet it’s rare to see South African women reciprocate by praising them. For example, you’re likely to find ten videos of South African women praising Nigerian men for every three videos praising South African men. This disparity causes significant resentment. As a result, one of the most satisfying moments for some black South African men is hearing about relationship or marriage issues between South African women and Nigerian men—they openly rejoice at such news.
I experienced this firsthand at a club filled with South African men and women. The DJ was playing local songs, and everyone was enjoying themselves. But when the DJ played “Ye” by Burna Boy, the atmosphere changed. South African women sang along passionately, and we Nigerians joined them, singing word for word. You could see the insecurity in some South African men, even those who came with their wives. Their hurt was evident, and this fuels their resentment toward Nigerian men.
