Nikole Hannah-Jones smeared Maud Maron as a racist for resisting her educational agenda. Seven years later, NHJ admitted in the NYT that her daughter can't read at a high school level. Now we know that Maron was not a racist and that NHJ's educational agenda could only have ended in failure.
It took seven years for Maron to be vindicated in the publication that smeared her -- for the gatekeeper of liberal consensus to acknowledge that she was right and its star writer was wrong. In those seven years, it wasn't just NHJ's daughter that failed to obtain literacy -- it was millions of children in districts who allowed themselves to be misled into pursuing her policies for fear of being smeared as racists.
Nikole Hannah-Jones' bad decisions for her own daughter, and false accusations against parents like me, would not matter so much if the damage was limited to her own child--she has the resources and social capital to remedy her mistakes. But her Social Justice advocacy, and her simplistic race-based ideas of what is needed to fix failing schools, deprived an untold number of the very children she says she set out to help of a good education.
NYC public schools has indulged, lavishly funded, and endlessly celebrated her toxic ideas. And the results are in: NYC test scores have free-fallen while cost per pupil soars, and families, of every color, are fleeing.
The sad part is we know what works to educate kids--there are myriad success stories out there. But to implement the kind of policies that would actually improve the education, and therefore the lives, of so many public school kids would require a genuine renunciation of the racism Hannah-Jones has peddled for so long. 6/7

Pasarse de basados tampoco dará resultados. El problema es real. Uno puede estar harto de las psicopateadas pero el problema es real.
No la veo. Tendrías que cancelar a un montón de autores con opiniones reprochables o comportamiento directamente delictivo. Mejor sería que en un festival de literatura se hable de literatura. Qué sé yo.
En la de alcalde de Quito creo que voy a votar blanco o nulo. Es increíble que los 3 más opcionados sean correas: Correísmo tecnocrático vs correísmo progre vs correísmo popular. Dios me perdone por lo que voy a decir, pero quizá Padel sea el menos malo.
Una alternativa realista para este tipo de mujeres es recurrir a la inseminación artificial. Es la mejor forma de obtener un hombre de elevado status sin el stress que les causa el tener que compartirlo. Es una opción que volverá más frecuente en el futuro.
La electricidad tiene un costo al margen de si es pública o privada. El problema de lo público ahora mismo es que lo que no estás pagando en la planilla lo pagas con un servicio menos que deficiente.
