Burn Credits for Statements. Burn Statements for Balance? Looks like a dynamic NFT with the total cumulative credit score.
How deep does this creditception go?

auctions for these community composed statements are now running
.@jackbutcher sold 122,154 NFTs at $8 apiece through X Money
Nearly $1 million in about 26 hours. All buyers needed was an X account and an Ethereum address
Here's how the art works, where the rarity sits and what the 80-Credit burn means

CREDITS SWEEP WATCH
β’ Past 12 Hours
Top five sweeps into non-contract wallet addresses
Defining a sweep as 10+ unique CREDITS bought by one wallet inside a fixed 15-minute window:
β· 123 CREDITS
3.3304Ξ (~$9,019)
0.0271Ξ average
β· 19 CREDITS
0.5083Ξ (~$1,376)
0.0268Ξ average

0.3445Ξ (~$933)
0.0265Ξ average
β· 13 CREDITS
0.337Ξ (~$913)
0.0259Ξ average
Combined:
183 CREDITS
4.9694Ξ
~$13,458
Thatβs 10.5% of all 1,745 CREDITS sales captured during the 12-hour window
The largest recipient now holds 123 CREDITS
Another swept 15 during this window and now holds 89, meaning it was already accumulating before this session
Both sit above the 80-CREDIT threshold for one theoretical Statement
A lot of CREDITS moving into concentrated hands
Iβll keep monitoring & share relevant 12 or 24 hour sweep periods

This Ape has and will ALWAYS be to me the prize of my entire collection and maybe the most loved thing I own bar none. It was my first big purchase years back and means S0 much to me. π has always been my fav color and the prison jump suit was a reminder of when I was locked up by the Feds years ago. Today Iβm giving it as a gift to @0xquit for basically saving the space for all of us last night. I was lucky to not get drained but many of my friends did. His selflessness and generosity is what I inspire to be. When I get home from work will transfer my orange 𧑠to him. Itβs definetly going to the absolute best of humans β¦. I know my ape will now be in the home where he belongs π

The @jackbutcher EIGHTS collection details (speculation):
When you sent jack $8, it generated a tx id that generated random characters & numbers that impacts the rarity of your NFT.
Let me explain in simple terms...
Based on your txn id when sending jack $8, depends on your rarity for your NFT, let me explain...
Example of a tx id: "CfH4QFkDEpd5uFn5sHH48"
Since it has one 8 in it, it's a tier 1 rarity (est: $800)
*this is speculation, not confirmed yet*
This estimator is based on the floor of the collection and you can change the estimation based on what you think the floor will be.
Some OTC orders went for $100 to be able to mint.
EIGHTS Collection Estimator (made by: @PapawPengu): eightsanalytics.netlify.app/
Basically the more 8's you have in your txn id, the rarer your nft is (more valuable)

I have been digging into Jack Butcherβs new EIGHTS collection, and I think there is a much more interesting mechanism underneath it than simple rarity.
This is my working theory based on the collection data, the transaction IDs, and how the distribution is forming.
Every piece begins with an $8 payment through X Money.
The transaction ID from that payment appears to become the seed for the artwork.
That matters because the transaction itself is not just proof of purchase. It appears to be part of the generative input that determines what you receive.
The collection currently categorizes pieces by a trait called EIGHTS.
Most have 0.
Far fewer have 1.
Even fewer have 2.
Then the population collapses rapidly as you move higher.
At first glance, this looks like a normal rarity ladder.
I do not think it is.
I believe EIGHTS is literally counting the number of times the character "8" appears in the X Money transaction ID.
That would mean the rarity of your piece is not being assigned from a traditional rarity table.
It is emerging naturally from the transaction identifier itself.
The population data supports this extremely well.
The distribution follows almost exactly the kind of probability curve you would expect from random occurrences of a specific character.
That distinction is important.
Jack may not have decided in advance what percentage of the supply would land in each tier.
Instead, he may have designed a system where the transaction infrastructure itself creates the rarity distribution.
The market generates the scarcity.
That also makes the $8 price much more meaningful.
You are not simply paying $8 for an NFT called EIGHTS.
You are performing an $8 transaction that generates an identifier, and the number 8 inside that identifier may determine the rarity of the resulting object.
The transaction becomes part of the art.
This is why I no longer think the gaps between each tier are necessarily clues to a burn formula.
Those gaps can be explained by probability alone.
They may be outputs, not rules.
Where I think this gets more interesting is what happens next.
Jack has previously explored systems where collectors can destroy or combine works to manufacture scarcity.
If EIGHTS eventually introduces a similar mechanic, I suspect the natural rarity and the collector-created rarity may become two separate layers.
The first layer would be chance.
Your X Money transaction determines the seed.
The seed determines how many Eights naturally appear.
You have no control over that outcome.
Then a second layer could introduce choice.
What are you willing to destroy, combine, or sacrifice to move upward?
If there is a burn mechanic, my current guess would be that it relates directly to the number 8 rather than the existing supply ratios.
An 8-to-1 progression would fit the project much more cleanly than arbitrary ratios derived from the current tier populations.
That is speculation, not confirmation.
An 8-to-1 system would also create a very clean progression through the collection.
Whether that is the actual mechanic remains to be seen, but conceptually it fits the project far better than a ratio-based system.
What I find most compelling about EIGHTS is that Jack may be turning something completely mundane into the source of scarcity.
A payment processor generates a transaction ID.
Normally that string is meaningless.
Here, the randomness inside that identifier may determine the visual object and its rarity.
Infrastructure becomes provenance.
And if a burn mechanic follows, the collection could end up having two completely different forms of scarcity.
Scarcity created randomly by the transaction.
Scarcity created intentionally by collectors.
Chance determines what you receive.
Choice determines what survives.
That is my current read on EIGHTS.

It would be interesting if this pulls a VV Checks.
@jackbutcher was always innovative and his projects usually popped up during quiet times and did massive volume!
$8 > $4,500
The timing is perfect as NFTs are slowly coming back, and number 8 literally means abundance and new beginnings.
This could be a great chance for NFT OGs and supporters to show the power of NFTs.
Imagine if @elonmusk supports this, it'd fly and it's not the first NFT Project that Elon supports.
Remember Milady?
