This season, homes become more than assets. Kitchens get louder. Living rooms fill. Traditions repeat. We think about housing the same way: built for real life and held long term. Grateful for our partners, residents, and communities. Wishing everyone a warm holiday season!

Last month, we shared a note on the debasement trade: the idea that while the U.S. dollar weakens, scarce assets like #Bitcoin, gold, and equities rise accordingly. This month, we’re digging deeper. What if a business used these assets to build a more resilient treasury?

There’s another advantage most overlook: collateral. Hard assets like Bitcoin or gold can be borrowed against when needed, without raising new capital or diluting ownership. Helpful for major repairs, bridge financing, or other big expenses. Scarcity becomes a liquidity lever.

We’re studying how small, consistent treasury allocations into scarce assets might strengthen longterm resilience. Our mission is not about speculation but to build a resilient balance sheet. Designing a treasury that holds up even when the dollar weakens. Stay tuned for more.

📉 The U.S. dollar is having one of its worst years in recorded history, losing over 10% of its value in 2025. For real estate operators, cash flow is everything. Rent often comes after critical expenses are due, so maintaining liquidity on the balance sheet is essential. 🧵
The Dollar’s collapse has been unprecedented.

Bitcoin is a store of value that can help protect purchasing power while we manage the short-term cash needs of the business. Real estate is built on stability, and that’s exactly why we’re exploring Bitcoin. Not as a gamble, but as a hedge.

The dollar may be losing ground, but that only makes us more determined to innovate. Our responsibility is to stay one step ahead. To build resilient balance sheets so our communities and partners can count on us no matter what the economy does. We’ll share more research soon!

Real estate is losing its monetary premium Over time, we expect housing costs to decrease to their fair value Buying opportunistically has never been more important Future returns in real estate will be driven by increasing the intrinsic value of these assets
Our broken money system pushed people to treat real estate as a savings vehicle, driving prices out of reach But homes are meant to be lived in, not savings accounts #Bitcoin takes the monetary premium out of housing, lowers prices, and helps families reclaim homes for living

When purchasing a multifamily, it can be common for your tenants to be on month-to-month leases. Ours were too, and at first, it felt flexible. But we quickly realized that flexibility often means unpredictability. How we are thinking about this 👇

Repairs were getting more expensive, property taxes weren’t slowing down, and turnover costs were making breakeven impossible. Shifting to annual leases has been a game changer: Reliable tenants appreciate the stability and we can plan repairs and improvements with confidence.

Operating costs are hard to forecast in a world where everything else seems to be going up too. If you’re just getting started in real estate, don’t underestimate how much inflation and lease agreements can impact your bottom line and the tenant experience.

We just got a surprise: a massive sewer bill at one of our properties. It caught us off guard, but it also taught us something every new real estate investor should know 🧵

Lesson learned: ask about billing cycles, irrigation meters, and how sewer charges are calculated. Small details can have big financial impacts, especially when operating at scale. Push for the local change you want to see, and you'll be amazed what you can accomplish.
