A young mechanic once repaired an old woman’s wheelchair for free because she couldn’t afford to pay him.
He was about to close his shop when her son wheeled her in.
One of the front wheels had broken, and she needed the chair to get to her hospital appointments.
The mechanic examined it and said, “Leave it with me. Come back tomorrow.”
The woman’s son asked how much he owed.
“Nothing. Just make sure your mother gets to her appointment.”
The son thanked him repeatedly.
Before leaving, the old woman held the mechanic’s hand and said, “May Allah send someone to help you when you need it most.”

Two years later, the mechanic’s own mother suffered a stroke.
