The Argentine did not stop there. “If you don’t change, next season it’s a big problem.” “You keep changing managers but what about other areas?” “It’s easy to say coach, players, but also we have to see others?” The message is unmistakable: Martínez wants accountability beyond the manager’s office. For a club that has repeatedly turned to the dugout when results and performances have fallen short, his comments raise a bigger question about the people responsible for building and running Manchester United. Changing the manager may offer a fresh start. But Martínez is asking what happens when the wider structure remains unchanged.
