The Dream-Hawks State Farm Arena conflict is not because of sexism or misogyny. Its business. Contract has been signed and tickets have been sold.
It’s pretty entitled to expect two other teams and 16K+ fans to change their plans because your team didn’t plan for Finals.

Sucks that the Dream going to the finals has resulted in the Hawks catching heat online for something that isn’t their fault

Jordin Canada became the third player in WNBA history to record at least 11 assists with zero turnovers in a playoff series clinching game. Canada joins Cynthia Cooper and Diana Taurasi as the only players to achieve this milestone.

Music is literally too accessible to even complain if we’re being honest. You can find music from every artist you’ve ever liked in a matter of seconds. You can ignore wack music but my generation had to listen to the radio & if something was wack you couldn’t skip it.

If the New York Liberty want to pull of another upset they will need to slow down the Atlanta Dream starting 5. 🏀
The group of Jordin Canada, Allisha Gray, Naz Hillmon, Rhyne Howard and Angel Reese have outscored opponents by 252 points when they are on the floor together this season, the best mark by a 5-player unit in a season in WNBA history. 😲

More people need to recognize Kareem’s tenure with the Bucks. Won three MVPs and a championship in Milwaukee and everyone acts like he just went straight from UCLA to the Lakers.

He was repeatedly put on notice. OutKast was BEYOND patient with him, if you ask me. This went on for over a year before a lawsuit was ever filed.
The facts that people seem to leave out:
June 2025: He receives a cease-and-desist.
July 2025: He gives an interview where he himself acknowledges that people read Ovrkast as OutKast and confuse the two (I know his lawyer was pissed because this is literally the confusion at the center of the trademark dispute. He talks too much.)
Then the attorneys negotiate. According to the lawsuit, they reach terms for him to transition to OVERKXST. His own attorney later asks OutKast for MORE TIME, requesting a July 15, 2026 deadline.
OutKast agrees to the extension and sends the finalized agreement.
July 13: two days before that deadline, he comes back asking to use different names they ALREADY declined.
July 15 passes and he continues using OVRKAST.
OutKast STILL doesn’t immediately sue him. They send another notice on August 5 and give him until August 11 to comply.
According to the complaint, he doesn’t respond and continues using the name. The lawsuit isn’t filed until September 16.
It has now been a year+ of back and forth.
Then when the lawsuit becomes public, he wants to troll until he tweets: “I NEVER SIGNED any agreement. It was verbal…” He later deletes that post (again, he talks too much) and reposts his response without the part acknowledging the verbal agreement.
So no, this wasn’t OutKast randomly deciding to financially crush some “young” artist. There was a year of warnings, negotiations, an extension his side requested, another opportunity to comply, and continued use of the disputed name before they finally sued.
Now they’re asking the court for an injunction, profits tied to the alleged infringement, damages, legal fees and destruction of OVRKAST-branded materials.
He fucked around and found out. 🤷🏽♀️

OutKast suing when they are already legendary rap group is what doesn’t sit right. Telling him to change his name is one thing but wanting all the proceeds from all his work is not it

Remy Ma previously went by the moniker Rémy Martin—sharing a name with the famous French Rémy Martin cognac brand—and was forced to change her stage name due to legal pressure or endorsement conflicts with the liquor company.

Eminem (avoided a lawsuit as M&M): Though not technically a post-launch lawsuit name change, Marshall Mathers dropped his original moniker "M&M" (derived from his initials M.M.) early on specifically to avoid a trademark lawsuit from the candy company Mars, Incorporated, deciding instead to spell it out phonetically as Eminem.
Copyrights guys. It happens
