I’ve got mixed feelings on omarchy. It’s great for someone who wants to get their toes wet with arch (similar to manjaro I guess). Yet I think they will ultimately rice their own arch or use nixos or a more stable distro like fedora

I love what @dhh is doing with #omarchy. I use my agent in my custom arch machine to read the omarchy repo and apply the features I like. It’s a win win for all. I get to keep my own custom arch. And people get to experience Linux in a bundled and ready to use os. Thank You

After using @zed I can’t go back to vscode or even neovim

My copilot at work isn’t working. Most engineers specially juniors cannot code by hand. Team is now idle. This is our new reality. we should move towards a multi agent provider like what we did years ago with multi cloud. Or self host models like @dhh did with cloud exit
GitHub finally moved to serverless.

As a kid, installing @Windows 98 on my computer once a month made me feel like the greatest hacker of all time. I like the old @Microsoft logo and font to this date

I will never ever support a company that stays silent on the face of horror, murder, and terror. Shame on you @SuckerPunchProd . I will never buy any of your products again! #CharlieKirk
Well @SuckerPunchProd can thank Drew for making me cancel my pre-order for Ghost of Yotei. Refuse to buy or even play a game of a company that celebrates a man's death. As badly as I wanted to play this game, I just can't now

as long as I enjoy every single key stroke to write that beautiful code, I would proudly call myself a crud monkey.
"A lot of people are very uncomfortable with the fact that they are essentially just CRUD monkeys. They just make systems that create, read, update or delete rows in a database, and they have to compensate for that existential dread by overcomplicating things." - @dhh

AUR is down again. I think @dhh 's Omarchy is such a hit, AUR cannot handle the scale! all engineers I know are either installing arch themselves like myself, or installing Omarchy after seeing @dhh 's videos. Great initiative. I think AUR needs to scale up significantly soon

Hey @dhh , I came across Vimium today, which gives chrome vim motions and more. It works great on #Omarchy. Now I dont have to lift my fingers off hjkl for browsing the web on hyprland. I hope the community also likes and enjoys it. chromewebstore.google.com/de…

I feel into this hellhole once. Go and then rust. I finally realized most enterprise don’t use either. I’ll stick with java, C, python, and some ruby from now on.
Reading too many tech influencers ruins your perception of real life. Unemployed influencers can afford to switch langs based on vibes. Yesterday it's Go. Today it's Zig. Tomorrow it's Elixir. Simple wagies with families and mortgages think on a completely different level.

using webapps on archlinux is awesome. most of us have fast internet connections and dont even feel they are not native apps. they look awesome specially on hyprland. I took inspiration from @dhh's Omarchy to do this and I'm loving it.

The joy of running an llm locally using @ollama and seeing it think and talk to you using a 10yo gtx1080 is indescribable.

App store lockdown should be next. Ppl should be able to install other stores like android.
🇯🇵 Japan has officially banned Apple’s iOS browser engine restrictions. Starting Dec 2025, iPhones must allow real Firefox, Chrome, and others to run their own engines, just like on desktop.

disk footprint matters not. speed of C and Rust is almost the same. its all about features. have you tried bat's syntax highlighting when simply printing a file in terminal? ripgrep is also extensively used in neovim plugins.

my #omarchy inspired arch + hyprland setup that can bring a fresh arch install to the dev workstation I enjoy using daily. if it wasnt for @dhh evangelism of arch and hyprland, I'd still be using fedora after 20yrs. I'm loving the unique look and feel of arch + hyprland.
