TODAY: @Anza implements Alpenglow upgrade on @Solana, cutting finality to ~150ms, from ~12.8 seconds.
Tom Warner (@redbeard), Head of BD at @DoubleZero, on @_TalkingTokens about why speed and predictability matter for institutions trading on Solana:
"Traditional finance systems are incredibly faster than crypto systems.
Every trading firm builds their model around how long does it take to execute, so you have predictability on, if I want to buy the stock, I know it’s going to take me 20 milliseconds, and then you can calculate based on how long your perceived price alpha exists."
Todd McDonald, co-founder of @inside_r3, on the three reasons they chose Solana for the next version of Corda
“One is the technology. I personally love their approach to a single mainnet and scaling through a single mainnet. One pool of liquidity. Two is their strategy. Internet Capital Markets, that’s the north star. They’re focused on helping existing capital markets players understand, launch and be successful on Solana.”
“Three, the culture of the ecosystem. Both those building on it and the Solana Foundation. They’re viewing this as a long-term business they want to grow. What you really need in this space is long-term alignment with the partners you choose. That was the big thing for us.”

In five years, underwriting a loan against assets you already hold, like a $50,000 stock position, could cost close to $0, making collateral lending beyond mortgages and car loans finally viable.

NEW: @Injective signs an MOU with @BDACSKorea to bring KRW1, a Korean won-backed stablecoin, to the network.
This would let Korean investors and institutions access onchain markets in their own currency and settle trades directly in won, rather than having to convert to USD stablecoins.
Eric Chen (@ericinjective), Co-founder and CEO of Injective, recently explained on @_TalkingTokens how being onchain changes access to capital:
"The advantage of being onchain is the efficiency gain and also the ease of access to capital. If you want to invest in something, you have to go through a very, very long process filling out all the forms.
Once you’re [onchain], you have access to a very broad plethora of asset offerings. So it’s kind of like a one and done deal.
It’s just about identifying those who are denied or priced out of the traditional infrastructure, [and] bring them onchain."
"How Injective Is Building Financial Markets Onchain"
A great episode with @ericinjective on @_TalkingTokens

0:08 Covering RWA perps growth
2:09 $215M+ in RWA perpetual volume
& whether perps are the future of RWAS
Eric highlighted the opportunities that assets & business owners have.
> Saying that if you have an interesting asset or a strong business you can just tokenize it, you can raise funding and you will be on chain forever.
Opening the door for an audience that you have never faced before next to a lot of other service providers

Most blockchains were built years ago on a root design that replicates data to everyone, so privacy has to be added on as an afterthought.
Canton was built the other way, privacy as an inherent property of the chain from the start.

IS TOKENIZATION ABOUT TO ENTER ITS COLLATERAL ERA?
@Citi Research put out a report on @Aave yesterday stating that collateral mobility "may ultimately prove to be one of tokenization's most important use cases"
For those who listen to @_TalkingTokens - this may sound familiar as our guests have said:
- @carlosdomingo of @Securitize called the collateral use case "potentially a huge one"
- @jillfriedman of @symbioticfi told me tokenized assets have to be as usable "as collateral in lending markets"
- @GregoryLBell of @hashgraph said "the value proposition in many ways is collateral mobility"
- @YuvalRooz of @CantonNetwork said "collateral management will probably be the first thing that scales"
...Time will tell!

Canton differentiates itself through privacy as a prerequisite for institutions moving financial activity onchain, and governance built around their requirements.
@YuvalRooz shares what it takes to bring capital markets onchain on @_TalkingTokens.

The Canton Network isn’t a solution in search of a problem.
It was built to meet businesses where they are, then solve real problems for them and their users.

When @tomgregory100, VP of Payments at @Binance, was on @_TalkingTokens back in August, he attributed much of @bstocksfinance growth to financial inclusivity:
"As we unlock these services for everyday payments, everyday financial needs of our users, we’re making it a lot more accessible and unlocking new user demand as well."
.@Binance bStocks hit $1B in just 4 months
Tokenized stocks overall are now nearly $3.5B, up 23% in the last month
So many execs we've featured on @_TalkingTokens or @TokenRelations' State of Tokenization newsletter explained how tokenized stocks were just getting started

Crawl. Walk. Run.
Start today with @Anchorage Digital.
One of the biggest barriers to digital asset adoption may be trying to solve everything at once.
@sergiofly, Global Head of Digital Asset Infrastructure at @Anchorage, recommends starting with focused use cases like dollar settlements and hybrid stablecoin dollars.
Removing complexity could be one of the keys to unlocking more adoption.

Little snippet of the conversation @jacqmelinek and I had on air at @evernorthxrp bell ringing ceremony at the @nasdaq.
The institutionalisation of crypto is happening in real time and DATs, ETFs and tokenized securities are all evidence of this.
A common theme from the conversations at @evernorthxrp's Nasdaq closing bell was that investors don't just want assets that sit idle.
It seems like every person @gazza_jenks and I talked to agreed that more productive assets are far more attractive.
